KND Operation: M.A.G.I.C

Chapter 3.5

Kage heard the bad news that someone took the birthday cake from the delivery truck. He was pretty upset about the stolen cake that was supposed to be delivered to the Delightful Children but he is holding that anger in front of his friends and the workers.

Kage: "Thank you for telling me the information about the incident. But just in case that happen, One of the workers delivered a spare birthday cake to the customer while you were trying the sent the first birthday cake." He said and stand up from his desk.

Worker 1: "Thank you Mr. Kage for everything!" He said thankfully to his boss.

Kage: "You are very welcome." He smiled.

Business at the Top Hat Café was very tiring for Kage, being the boss is a lot of hard work but he is able to manage it with some help from his friends. They were really helpful to him.

Nebula: "I hope the kids really like the gifts we gave them."

Zaku: "Like? You mean 'love it'! I bet that went really excited that we got them the best gifts ever!"

Nebula: "Um, did we spoil them too much with the candy, toys, and video games?"

Zaku: "Of course not, don't worry about them. They're just kids." He said while lounging on the chair.

Nebula: "Yes, I guess you're right." She said while pouring herself a cup of tea.

One of the workers came up to Kage for an important letter.

Worker 5: "Mr. Kage, a letter was delivered to you from the customer."

Kage: "A letter? I hope it's not a bad news." He said and grab the letter from her.

Kage opened it and its a thank you letter from the customer who ordered the birthday cake. The letter said:

"Thank you for the wonderful birthday cake for my Delightful Children. They really appreciated the cake you baked for them on their birthday.

Sincerely,
Father."

Kage is relieved that someone wrote him a thank you letter for the birthday cake but the name underneath the 'sincerely' word made him look confused why he put that name instead of his real name.

Nebula: "Who is it from Kage?"

Kage: "Someone name Father."

Nebula: "Strange, don't know why he should of put his real name instead."

Kage: "I don't know too but I need to get back to business."

Kage continues on managing the café while Zaku and Nebula are having a tea break. Zaku digging in the colorful macaroons on his plate and Nebula still sipping tea.

The sun is setting and every employees are heading back home and Kage close the café. He locked the doors and cover the windows with silver-colored curtains.

Kage: "Tomorrow we're going to perform at the shopping center in the morning." He said while changing into his pajamas.

Zaku and Nebula nodded at Kage while changing as well.

Nebula: "Goodnight my friends."

Zaku: "Night Nebby."

Kage: "Goodnight."

Three of them went to their bedrooms and fall asleep on their bed having wonderful dreams about meeting the Kids Next Door again.
