KND Operation: M.A.G.I.C

Chapter 5

The kids turned around with surprised looks on their faces as they saw Kage standing behind the cash register. He give out a smirk while stirring a cup of tea with a silver spoon.

Numbuh 1: "What just happen?!" He shouted in complete shock at the magician.

Kage: "Don't freak out young child, this is your first experience of magic?" He said calmly to the British boy.

Numbuh 1: "Don't call me young child Mr. Kage, call  me Numbuh 1. And finally, where are we?" He questioned him.

Kage: "Welcome to the Top Hat Café, children." He said showing them the inside of the café.

The kids are amazed of the beautiful decorations, furnitures, and desserts are set inside the refrigerator display. Even some small pastries like cupcakes, tarts, and macarons are set on each levels of the 3-tier ceramic dessert stands.

Kage: "Would you kids like to take a seat?" He said generously to the kids.

Numbuh 1: "This isn't the time for tea. We need to discuss something about you and your friends' job."

Numbuh 3: "Oh come on Numbuh 1, we want to try their sweetest and most delicious desserts they made. Oh please!!" She begged to Nigel giving him a cute smile.

Numbuh 2: "Yeah, we would love to try it. It'll be great."

Numbuh 1: "Oh fine."

Numbuh 3: "Yay!" Kuki cheered happily and sat down to a empty as the others sit across from each other in different tables.

A waiter came from the kitchen and brought menus for the kids to pick out any dessert they want.

Numbuh 2: "Ooo! s'mores parfait! I'll take that!"

Numbuh 3: "A piece of rainbow cake please!"

Numbuh 5: "The strawberry shortcake sounds cool. Numbuh 5 will take that."

Numbuh 4: "I'll have the cookies n' cream crumble cake."

Numbuh 1: "I'll take the...mint chocolate chip pudding."

Waiter: "Coming right up."

The cart of desserts arrived in the scene and stopped next to the tables they're sitting in. The waiters and waitresses brought their desserts to the table. The kids' eyes sparkle in delight as they see how beautiful the design the chefs made for them.

Kage: "Hopes you kids enjoy it." He said.

The kids instantly dig in the sweetest pastries they ever tasted before and enjoyed the sugary taste.

Numbuh 5: "Numbuh 5 really loves the strawberry shortcake."

Nebula appear with a cart of tea cups and a teapot filled with Earl Grey flavor in the hot water.

Nebula: "Hello children..how's everything?" She said and pour some tea cups for the kids.

Numbuh 3: "Hi Nebby!"

Numbuh 1: "Miss Nebula, I'm glad you're here. We need to discuss about you and your friends performance. And I wish Zaku would come here so we can talk."

Nebula: "Of course, Zaku is upstairs training his pet tiger, Felicia."

Numbuh 5: "A tiger?! That can't be true."

Suddenly, they heard a loud roar coming from upstairs, it sound happy.

Nebula: "Sorry about that, Felicia is really friendly to Zaku. He'll be down in a minute after he's done training."

Zaku came down quickly after playing with Felicia.

Zaku: "Sorry about the noise kids, my cat is really energetic."

Numbuh 1: "Alright, we like to discuss about your job again. About an hour ago today when we were spying on the teens' plans, we saw you stealing money and jewelries from the adults."

Kage: "I guess you know the truth. You see children, we use our magic skills to quietly steal from the rich and give to the poor."

Numbuh 3: "But, is stealing bad?"

Kage: "Yes it is young child. But listen, it is our job to make the poor feel happy with valuable items. Even for kids, we love to give  them with amazing gifts."

Numbuh 2: "Like the gifts you gave us at the treehouse."

Kage: "Oh, I see you children saw the gifts we left for you." He smiled and took a sip of tea.

Numbuh 4: "Yeah! It was so cool!"

Numbuh 3: "Thank you for the gifts! We love it very much! I really really love the Rainbow Monkey you got me!"

Numbuh 1: "Yes yes the gifts were really nice, but I don't want you to steal anymore." He commanded at the magicians.

Zaku: "How come?"

Numbuh 1: "What happens if it's one of the adult villains in the crowd and one of you stole something from them. They can track you down and harm you!?"

Kage: "If that ever happens, we will turn them into rats or frogs. Don't worry, we won't do anything bad."

Nebula: "Number 1, you don't need to worry about it, we have magic remember. We use our skills for trickeries."

Numbuh 1: "But that's not the point, what if the adults filled your minds with boring stuff they do for a living and made all of you force kids to do homework or chores."

Zaku: "Nebula would basically hypnotize the adults to do their bidding and let kids have fun."

Nebula: "Like what I said, you don't need to worry about us Number 1."

Numbuh 1: "But-" He was cut off when she held a index finger up to stop his speaking.

Nebula: "You don't need to talk about it Number 1. We can handle it very well."

Numbuh 1: "Alright but promise me, you won't steal anything from any adult villains at your performance."

Nebula: "Of course Number 1, we'll watch out for them."

Numbuh 1: "Good, so how much for the desserts?"

Kage: "Don't worry about it, it's free for kids."

Numbuh 2: "Really?! Thanks!"

Numbuh 3: "You should come and help us on missions!"

Nebula: "We'll think about it if we're free. Just call us if you kids need help."

Numbuh 5: "Numbuh 5 got it. We still have the card."

Nebula: "Good, there should be a selection on contacting us. Remember that."

Numbuh 3: "We will Nebby!"

As soon the kids finished their desserts, they head back to the treehouse to continue on spying on the teens.

Nebula: "Such great kids."
