kisa.
"is this your first training camp, kisa-san?" kiyoko asked, and i nodded as i rolled out a futon.
"my best friend dragged me into being the manager, so i'm not very experienced." i replied, and she nodded, giving me a bright smile.
i decided i wanted kiyoko's hand in marriage in that moment.
all of us managers gathered in a circle, and we decided to play truth or dare.
"kisa, you start! you're a new manager!" yukie declared, a cute smile on her face. were all volleyball managers born cute??
"um..truth." i said, and she grinned wickedly. maybe i should've chosen dare.
"do you have a crush on osamu? bokuto-san told me you were being affectionate in the gym before they came earlier." she said, and my face flushed red. did i have a crush on osamu? maybe? how was i supposed to know?!
"n-no. samu is just a good friend." i said assuringly, more to myself than the girls. they all gave me skeptical looks, then we continued with the game.
it was mostly truths until kaori turned to me and asked,
"kisa, truth or dare?" at the time, i thought it would be good to answer "dare," as out game had been pretty bleak.
"dare." i answered, and she giggled, looking to yukie then to me.
"i dare you to knock on your team's door, tell them you had a nightmare, and ask to sleep in their room tonight."
my hands shook as i timidly knocked on the boy's door. if this was an elaborate scheme to kick me out of the mananger's sleepover, it worked. just as i was about to leave, the door swung open.
atsumu stood there, in only gray sweats. he had no t-shirt, and his sweats were resting very low on his hips.
"hey kitten. need something?" he whispered softly, closing the door behind him. i nodded, wringing my hands.
"i kinda had a bad dream...is it okay if i sleep in here tonight?" i asked nervously, and he raised his eyebrows in surprise. i was worried he would turn me down, but he replied,
"of course you can. share my futon with me, i'm cold."
the next thing i knew, atsumu and i were chest to chest, snuggling together in his futon. his left arm was lazily wrapped around my waist, and his right hand was propping up his head. i giggled softly as our noses brushed against each other, then looked up at atsumu.
"thanks for letting me sleep in here." i whispered, and he nodded.
before i realized what was happening, his lips were on mine. i almost screamed out, but he gently pulled me closer to his body, making my face flush red. i finally kissed back, and atsumu pulled away, his eyes sparkling.
"of course. goodnight, kis." he whispered, giving me one more peck before closing his eyes.
this training camp was already off to a good start.
