It was at first
a fight for justice
The called themselves
The revolutionaries
Fighting for the people's good.Suddenly the debils took over
What happened to the revolutionaries?
What happened to the fight for the people?
What went wrong?Demon possessed they killed
those they once fought for
It was a time of fear
People ran around like blind mice
Running away from their
once upon a time saviours.Hearts were dashed and broken
Lovely faces were painted red
Beautifying the road paths
With alluring colours
That wouldn't leave
One's dreams.It was a time of want
Father's never returned home
Mother's gave up themselves
for their kids
Bellies round
bulging of food with little hair
There wasn't need for a hair cut.The little ones wanted their
Fathers and mothers
They knew where they were
Although they didn't understand.
Their eyes full of questions
They find themselves
in some kind of home
That offered little protection from the debils
With a mother who is everyone's mother alongside aunties and a kind teacherLittle arms wrapped around each other
They are promised homes far from the debils.
New families and love
There a little one found hope in a ballet shoes.
