'Harry? You okay? You're so quiet, it always amazes me how much time one person can spend inside their head in one day.' Louis said, laughing quietly.
'I'm fine, Lou. What do you wanna do tonight?' Harry said as he followed Louis inside his house. He took off his backpack and dumped it onto the floor.
'Definitely none of my homework, that's for sure. Want anything to drink?'
'Can I have tea please?' Harry asked, fiddling with the sleeves on his school jumper. They were baggy because of all the time he had spent fiddling with them anxiously.
'Yorkshire tea?' Louis asked. Harry nodded, following the small boy into the small kitchen. It was small, but it felt very comforting and homely. Louis walked over to the tap to fill the kettle with water, and got two mugs out. He made the two teas before sitting down at the table opposite Harry, who was too focused on trying to convince Louis he was doing okay he wasn't saying a word.
'Harry, you do realise I know that you're wearing a fake smile.' Louis said, smiling to himself. Harry's head shot up, he thought he was being convincing.
'I thought I was doing a good job.' Harry said in a small voice, a weak, yet very real smile forming on his lips. He was embarrassed that Louis had picked him up on the fact he was trying to wear a fake smile, but it also made him ridiculously happy that Louis cared enough about him to notice when he was hiding how he felt. Without warning, Louis snuck up behind Harry and picked him up, princess style.
'Louis! Put me down!' Harry half yelled, squirming in his boyfriend's short arms. Louis carried him into the family's sitting room and dumped him onto the sofa.
'What was that for?' Harry said, pretending to be mad. He was cute when he was pretending to be angry, his nose scrunched up and arms crossed in front of him.
'You're not leaving this room until you tell me what's going on in your perfect little head, okay love?'
'What about my tea? Lou come backkk.'he whined.
'I'm getting you your tea, baby. Don't lose your head.' Louis shouted from the kitchen. He came back thirty seconds later, holding Harry's tea.
'So,' Louis said, reaching over to boop Harry's nose. 'Are you going to ell me what you were thinking about or not?' Harry blushed. Seriously, who allowed Louis to be so perfect?
'I was thinking about you, Lou. About how you make me feel fearless, for the first time in my life I'm not scared when I'm around you. But also how this whole relationship thing scares me. It feels so perfect, but so untouchable at the same time, y'know?' Louis nodded, loving to listen to Harry talk., He spoke so softly, yet it was impossible for Louis to miss anything he said. Harry talked with his hands a lot, which was kind of distracting at times, but also made the things he said easier to follow. Once he had finished speaking, Louis pulled his boyfriend into a hug. Harry rested his head in Louis' lap as Louis fiddled with his hair. He twisted the brown curls around his fingers, and smoothed his fringe across Harry's forehead. Harry just lay there, looking up at Louis lovingly. He was so far gone. After a little while of Louis playing with Harry's hair, the younger boy sat up and faced Louis.
'Thank you for letting me love you, Harry.' Louis said quietly.
'Come here, little one.' Harry said, scooting across the sofa so he could make more room for Louis.
'Harry, I'm not thaaaaaaaaaaat short.' Louis said, whining a little. Harry shut him up by placing a kiss on his lips, and Louis' lips melted into his. They were a perfect fit for each other, and they moved together perfectly. Louis' lips were chapped slightly. The kiss was tender like they were holding onto something fragile but beautiful. Harry's large hand rested on Louis' cheek, his thumb rubbing the smooth skin on Louis' face. Louis gently held Harry's jaw, fingers resting on the edge of Harry's face. Harry stopped kissing Louis so he could take in a breath of air before attacking his boyfriend's lips again. Harry's lips were beginning to hurt, and the kisses were beginning to become sloppier. Harry pulled away and pulled Louis into a tight hug.
