It was a beautiful day in the animal kingdom.  The birds were singing, the clouds were no where in sight, and there were bunnies frolicking around in the meadow.  Every animal was having fun.  It was almost noon when the one who watched over the sky decided to attack the kingdom.

The sky hippo, larger than any other hippo, was one of the strongest animals in the kingdom.  He had small butterfly wings that kept him up in the air.  He usually protected the kingdom, but today, he had decided to attack.

He flew down to the kingdom, destroying some of the homes.  A few of the panthers trying to fight back, but alas, the lost.  None of the animals could stand up to the sky hippo.

The king, a mere llama, couldn't do anything to stop the sky hippo.  The sky hippo charged his way towards the castle where the llama watched, defenseless.

"I will be the new ruler of the animal kingdom!" the sky hippo declared.

"But you have the sky, why would you want the land below it if you have an endless sky?" the king asked the sky hippo.

"The sky is grand in size, but no life besides that with wings can ever venture up there.  The land is home to many more different types of animals.  That is why I demand the throne," the sky hippo explained to the king.

"But why do you want to be in charge of these animals?"

"I want more authority," the sky hippo answered.  "Now step aside, llama.  Resistance is futile."  The llama king knew that, but who could he surrender the kingdom to a greedy hippo like him?

"Don't fear, you majesty!  For I have come to-whoa!" I small orange kitten ran over to the king and the sky hippo, only to trip over her own paws.

"What's this?" the sky hippo wondered.

"I am the warrior kitten!" the kitten claimed, standing back up.  "And I have come to stop you!"  She held up a small sword about five inches long.  The sky hippo was massive, so this would be like child's play to him.

"You foolish kitten, learn your place!" The sky hippo stared down at her.

"My place is to serve under the llama as a king, not you!" she exclaimed, charging forward to fight the sky hippo.  The sky hippo merely flew backwards, letter the kitten stumble out the window he had entered through.

The kitten fell to the ground, but it wasn't that far a plummet.  She straightened up, fixing her helmet which was too large for her small head.

"Ahahaha!" the sky hippo laughed, flying out towards the water.  "See?  You are too small to defeat someone like me!"

The kitten charged towards the water, stopping at the shore.  "Come down you coward!" She yelled at it.

"Coward?  No, that isn't the right word.  I am not afraid of your fighting skills.  I'm afraid you'll get hurt by the slightest touch.  Not even the panthers stood a chance, what makes you think you have what it takes?" the sky hippo challenged.

"I have courage and will!" the kitten announced.  Just then, as the sky hippo was busy laughing, a giant purple octopus surfaced out of the water.  It reached out one of it's tentacles and grabbed the kittens helmet, pulling the kitten up with it.

"WAH! PUT ME DOWN!" The kitten flailed around.  Then she realized that she was going higher than the sky hippo.  The octopus swung it's tentacle, and the kitten squirmed her way out of her helmet, flying towards the sky hippo.

The sky hippo was caught by surprise, allowing the kitten to jump on the hippos back.  She then pulled out her pocket shovel and knocked the bologna out of the sky hippo.  The two fell down and crashed in the water.  The octopus grabbed the sky hippo and threw him onto the shore.  The kitten was able to swim her own way there.

All the animals gathered around the unconscious body of the sky hippo.

"Is he dead?" A squirrel asked.

"No, but is that a good thing?" A kangaroo wondered.

"He tried to destroy our homes, he should die!" A tortoise decided.

"No, he was just greedy," the kitten told them.  "When he wakes up, I'm sure he'll come to realize that what he tried to do was wrong."

"I hope so," a sloth said.

When the sky hippo came to, what the kitten had said was proved right.  "I'm sorry about everything, I don't know what I was thinking," the sky hippo apologized.  "I shall return to the sky now."  And with that said, he rose up, flying towards the sky where he belonged.

"Yay!  The kingdom is saved!"  The king announced.  "It is all thanks to the warrior kitten!"

The rest of the animals cheered along with him.  The kingdom was back to the way it should be, all because of that clever little warrior kitten.
