Chapter 3- Jokes, Fighting and comebacks.

Joy P.O.V

I slowly wake up and I keep deep even breaths. I feel arms around my back and knees and I know I'm in somebodies arms. I hear people talking and I decide to listen in and maybe get some information.

"Cap just met a give and she's already sleeping on him." I hear Tony's voice say through the Quintjet. I hear a deep rumbling laugh come from the person holding me.

"It's not like that, Mr. Stark. She fell asleep because she was exhausted and tired. Even super soldiers get tired." Steve says. So it's Steve holding me. Why is Captain America holding me?

"Still that doesn't explain why one of SHIELD's best agents or scientists whatever had fallen asleep. Super Soldiers are better than the average human, so why did she become exhausted so suddenly." I hear Natasha's voice. I decide to answer this time, but I want to keep my eyes closed.

"Well when a super soldier hasn't been asleep for a few days they tend to get exhausted. Me, become overly excited when I'm tired, it's a personality trait for me and it works." I say and when I started I could hear everyone in the room jump.

"Did she just say that asleep?" Tony asks and I laugh.

"Yeah Tony, I'm asleep aboard a Quintjet and I'm asleep and having a conversation with you. Duh, I'm awake ever hear of talking with your eyes closed?" I say and open my eyes. I see deep blue ones looking into my own. Okay, this is getting awkward.

"Here is a lesson on super soldiers." I stand up and stretch. "First, unlike you Tony, we can't get drunk. You probably know that because of your father. Secondly we became super strong, because we have the serum injected into us and Vita-rays were used. Sad topic here, After Dr. Erkstein was killed by HYDRA nobody was able to replicate the serum." I finish stretching and I look over at Tony.

 "Dr. Banner tried with gamma rays, but it didn't work out so well. However I got to do it, but I decided to add powers into the serum in case it didn't work, so I'm like Cap, but with powers. We can sometimes stay awake for days if needed, but like the average human it is better to get sleep every night. So there is your lesson on super soldiers." I say and walk back to my seat near Steve. I turn to him.

"Thank you, Cap for letting me use you as a pillow or a big teddy bear. Whatever you like, but thank you." I say and lean over hugging his arm with a smile and then I let go.

"You're welcome." He smiles down at me and we land.

"Okay, I'll meet you guys on the bridge. I'm going to walk down to the lab to grab Banner." I say and run away from them.

Steve P.O.V

I watch Joy run to the lab. Tony sidles up next to me and looks in the way she ran. I turn and start walking towards the bridge. Tony comes into step with me.

"So what's up with you and Everglade?" He asks me and I look down at him confused.

"What?" I say and he looks over at me and rolls his eyes.

"You know you and Joy. What is up with you guys?" He says and I know where he is getting.

"Just friends, Tony. People can just be friends in this century. I don't think it's against any rules." I say

"You like her." He says smugly

"As a friend." I say walking away from him. He moves in a different direction. I make it to the lab and take a seat. A screen pops up and I look around for Joy. All the seats are taken at the table and she isn't in the room. A live camera feed shows up on the table and I watch it.
