Joy P.O.V

I wake with a crappy headache. I groan in pain while I keep my eyes closed from the real world. I turn onto my chest and a pain comes through my chest making my throat close and breathing hard. I open my eyes and sit up straight. My eyes dizzy from sleeping or unconsciousness, whatever happened.

I look around the room struggling to remember what happened. I look over at a tray next to me and when I see the scalpel, everything floods back in a wave of memories. I look down at the IV in my arm. I rip it out and hope out of the bed. Dang, why do they have to put people in hospital robes? I look across the room and see a chair with clothes on it.

I walk over to it and notice it is some of my clothes. There is a note laying on top of it and I pick it up.

Here are some of your clothes. I didn't think you'd like the hospital outfit. Enjoy- Natasha

"I bloody love you Natasha." I say and grab the clothes. I walk into the nearby bathroom and change. I walk back out and place the discarded gown onto the bed I was in. I look around the room for anything that might have been left behind. I walk down to the lab I should've been in a while ago and walk to see Bruce and Tony talking and working.

"The gamma readings are definitely consistent with Selvig's reports on the Tesseract." Dr. Banner says waving a scanner over the glowing blue orb of the scepter.

"It's going to take weeks to process." Tony says.

"If we bypass their mainframe and direct a reroute to the Homer cluster, we can clock this around six hundred teraflops." I say and they look up at me. They cheer and walk over giving me a hug.

"We heard you had a little run in with the ExPatriot." Tony says and I nod.

"Sometimes knives to the chest can be my kryptonite." I say and walk over to the scepter. Bruce gets back to his work. Tony walks around and begins talking.

"You know you should come around Stark Towers sometime. Tony ten floors, all R and D. You'd love it, its candy land." Tony says.

"Let's hope without the diabetes." I say and Banner chuckles having heard me and I let out a small smile while working on a computer.

"Thanks, but the last time I was in New York, I kind broke Harlem." He says getting on the edgy side a little. I go over and place and hand on his shoulder, trying to calm him. He takes a deep breath and nods me a thank you. I walk back over and begin typing again.

"Well, I promise a stress free environment. No tensions. No surprises." Tony walks around Banner and pokes him with a zapper from my table. I was about to storm over and take it, when a voice sounds across the room.

"Are you nuts?" Steve shout walking into the room. I walk over next to him and place a hand on his shoulder, telling him to take a breath. He stares over at me in surprise.

"You really have got a lid on it, haven't you? What's your secret? Mellow jazz? Bongo drums? Huge bag of weed." Tony spits out ways he think to calm down. I am surprised he didn't add alcohol, but I get that it would affect Banner's mind.

"Is everything a joke to you? Threatening the safety of everyone on the ship isn't funny." He says and I slap his shoulder because of the insult. "No offense, Doctor." I smile then and Bruce nods.

"No, it... it's alright. I wouldn't have come aboard it I couldn't handle pointy things." Bruce says and I know he is getting edgy again. I stay by Steve side and grip his arm a little bit. He glances down at me.

"You need to strut." Tony says still watching Bruce closely.

"And you need to focus on the problem, Mr. Stark." Steve says heatedly. I almost feel like that's a comment for me too. I haven't been down here. I let go of Steve a bit.
