Chapter 2: Breakfast warmth

It was the next Day and Val was in the Kitchen making Breakfest. He Still would have had a few Day's of, but thanks to Sirin's appearence, that wasn't the Case.
He Just put down two plates with bacon, eggs and a slice of Toast, when Sirin came in floating. Of course she didn't forgot to make her position obvious to him.
"Human, I demand my Breakfast!" Not even in the morning would her behavior be diffrent.

Val ignored her attitude as much as possible, however his annoyance was not going to go unheard.
"Yeah, yeah, your Plate is on the Table. Allthogh..." He paused dramaticly to make Sirin curious...

...And it worked perfectly
"Yeeeees???" She asked impatiently, her interesst piqued.
Val answered as professional as he could. "If you're a bit Patient, You get some baked beans aswell, they Go pretty Well with the eggs."

Sirin considered, She wasn't very Patient, However, should it be as good as he Said, then she could~ Just once, she could shut an Eye.

Sirin let Out a sigh of inner defeat, but didn't hesitate to demand his best. "Very Well, get to Work then and let it taste at least decent."

Val rolled with his Eyes he was still annoyed, but unlike Yesterday, he didn't respond. After a few minutes, He came with a small pot filled with the promised beans and poured them on her Plate.
Sirin looked at it, she was curious, but still a bit Skeptical.
"I Hope for you that It's at least decent." She said looking at him with a skeptical look on her face.

Val shrugged his. Shoulders, he wasn't the best cook, but he deemed himself decent enough for simple meals. "Enjoy, I guess." Making his carelessness clear.

Then she began To eat. It wasn't the most fancy meal, however, for Sirin, who didn't get to eat much food, let alone good food, thanks to her terrible Past.
("Warm, the beans, the Egg, it, ....It tastes good enough, but the Feeling of warmth...")
She pondered the feeling of warmth, something she never got to experience much in her life.

Val looked at Sirin, she looked peacefull, Calm and lost in Thought. That Look of satisfaction, It was Something he rarely saw, let alone from his food, however he felt Fond of that look on her face, but decided to leave her be, after all he knew when he wasn't needed and that was one of those Moments, where you leave it be. However before he could Leave he was stopped by Sirin's Voice...

"Do you think I just let you go like that Human? I am not satisfied yet."
Her voice was a lot more calm, less demanding, it sounded Close to begging

Val turned around and gave her a teasing Smile, of course he wouldn't leave the Chance to tease and mess with Sirin, or any person who thought of themselves as better then others, you could even say it's a Hobby of his.

"Oho, So you like it~?"
He asked with a Tone that said " I know you do"
Despite his teasing, he was glad about her approval, he could tell she was being genuine.

Sirin's was flusterd, her face got beet red and she looked awkwardly to the Side.
"Ah, Well, it's not half Bad, but nothing Impressive at all, ... I would Like more though." She sheepishly admitted.

Val smiled once more, the satisfaction was now on his face and a glimpse of happyness could be heard "Well then, Coming right up!"

He went back to make more, until she was satisfied.
Her Expression was now less Cold and Distant then the other Day, she wasn't as cold and Distant as before, but still not much of what could be called Progress.

Val sat down, leaned back in his chair and Reconciliatoringly spoke up. "You know, maybe we got of on the Wrong foot, since you already told me your Name, I suppose I should tell you mine. It's a Bit weird being called Human all the Time."

He scratched his head while saying that, unsure if she would actually be willing too.

Sirin who was more calm now then usually, closed her eyes and seemed like she thought about it for a Moment, then she nodded "Well, I personaly do not Care, However I will allow you to tell me, If you insist."

"Ok then,I am Val. Captian of the Hyperion." He knew he still had a long way of work until the two of them could talk on an equal basis, but for once he was sure he could actually do it, even if it would turn into a long time Mission.

Sirin spoke in her usual surpirior way, but softer then before "Very Well, Human I will remember your Name, be gratefull, that's much more privilige then Most other Humans..."

For once he didn't care how long that Mission would take and so they kept Chating a Bit before starting into the Day with a Lot more positivity then before...
