Chapter 3: Joking around

Val was working again. Despite his "Mission" he still had his duties as Captian. Sirin was with him, since she had not much to do. However, she quickly became bored of watching him and tried to get him to Entertain her some way.
"I'm boorred, Human." She declared.

Val didn't even look up, but then answered
"Hello bored, I'm Val."
He chuckeled at his own pun. He just loved making them and watch how the people around him "suffered" under them.

Sirin tried to ingore his terrible pun, but just couldn't completly hide her annoyance.
"ugh, no seriously, you worked the whole Day, while I am stuck unable to do anything."

Val didn't look up, but inside he did think about it, however he was too immersed in his work to give it much of thought and just said Something random.
"Well, you could Always read a book or Something..."

Sirin looked at him with an expression of absolute displeasure, but she knew that his mind wasn't easily changed.
"... you're no fun."
She began pouting. So much for entertainment.

"Well, no."
He said with utmost sincerity
"How can I be fun, If I'm already Val."
Once again he had to chuckele about his pun.

Sirin couldn't hide her annoyance anymore
"Oh my God!!! Stop it!!"
She yelled in annoyance and frustration

Val looked up, a big smile on his face. He was currently having the time of life. "Hehehe, Sorry, weren't my puns even a bit "humerous"? This time he laughed, a thing he rarely did.

Sirin was Not enjoying his Idea of amusement, but there is Always one way to get a human to do what you want....
And in Sirin's perspective that was Fear. Many were afraid of Herrschers and their terrible Powers. They can wipe Out Entire continents, Killing off entire Civilizations and also making the Lands uninhabitable. She already knew that he wasn't afraid of her, so she used another Option.

Sirin then angrily declared. "Allright Human, If you keep doing this, I'll Just destroy a few Citys. I mean I have to "Kill" my boredom somehow."

Val paused for a Moment, looked her in the eyes and looked at her in surprise, not expecting what she Just Said.

Sirin looked at in with confusion, that wasn't a reaction she thought she would get. Did she go to far? Would he obey, what was wrong? For the first time since her reawakening she felt uneasy about the Stare of one human being. Just as she thought this...

Val laughed, his eyes began to well up with tears from the laughter.
"Eyyyy!"
He pointed with fingerguns at her and caught himself for a moment.
"I am so proud right now. I knew you liked my puns. I mean, that pun was a real "Killer"."
He then broke out in laughter once more.

Sirin realises her mistake  She made that pun in anger to spite him, instead she tapped inside his Trap.
Her face becomes beet red from the embarassment.

Sirin tried to defend, but stuttered some of her words
"F-f-foolish H-human!!! Don't get any weird Ideas!!!
This was merely your Imagination!!!"
Her embarassment was clearly visible.

Val couldn't keep working and his laughter got the better of him. He clutched his stomache while laughing and used his right hand to hold on to the bridges railing to keep himself from dropping to the ground.

Sirin got only more embarrased, not only had she failed to make him more obdient, but now her *servant* was laughing at her.
" Stop this at once!!! This isn't funny!!!"
Sirin could feel the Heat burning in her cheeks, this was too much embarassment at once.

However, he kept laughing. She turned around to hide her embarrasment. After a minute he finally calmed down...
"hehe..Haaaah~ I'm sorry, but I guess your embarassment got the better of me...hehehe"

"...Idiot." she mumbled, but strangely enough, she wasn't as mad about this as she thought she would.
With that little incident, Sirin was silent for some time, while Val got Working again. Eventually She did get bored again and left, to roam on the Ship. 

In the Evening she was in the Kitchen again, Val had made Dinner and she got to experience the warmth once more. She Hated to say this and she wouldn't Tell him, However, she really Likes his food. She never spoke while she was eating, so Things were quiet.

After Dinner, Val gave Sirin a small book. The Cover had a few Figures in anime Style on it.
"You complained you were bored, right?"
He held it out to her
"You can read that If you want. It's called a "Manga", it's worth a try at least."

Sirin looked at him, with hidden interesst, but of course she wouldn't let him know that
"Why would I be Interessted in such a pathetic thing.

Despite her words she took the Manga anyway, curious what he Just had given her.

Val saw through, but didn't mention it.
"Pffft. Ok, should you want more, you'll find the rest of those in my shelf in my room. It's like, yeah, 5 Doors right from your room.
He wasn't annoyed anymore, he would enjoy this, that much he was sure about.

Sirin blushes deeply, but still kept her demeanor
"Hmph, as if I would need it.......However, I will take notice of your attempt."

With that she turns tail and left for her Room. Val had a little smile on his face when he cleaned the dishes today and then went to bed aswell, ending the Day on a quite peacefull note.
