Chapter 6: Shopping and Ice Cream

Half an hour Later, Sirin and Val arrived at the Mall, luckily without any Complications. It was rare these Day's, since there were Always People everywhere. Today was no different, however since the Two went late in the Morning, they had a decent time to travel.

Sirin was unsure of where to go first, especially since the place was Huge. Many Stores with Clothes, parfums, food and many more. She looked up to him while trying to keep her calm demeanor, but on the inside she was actually beginning to become excited.
"So Human, since you sugested this Trip, I think it would be best to let you lead the Way."

"Hmm, Well then let's see..."
Val scratched his chin with closed eyes, he needed to think carefully, he had only that much budget for their Trip and he also wanted to get some Drawing supplies for his little Hobby.

He eventually had a plan and he pointed to a Store not to far away.
"I heard that one is quite good. Also they have reasonable prices for their Clothes."

"Very Well, let's go."
Val led the way and Sirin who could barely hide her excitement followed with quick steps.

An hour later, Sirin had gotten a few different stets of clothes from various Stores. Val could have sworn, that he heard his wallet cry in Pain and loss of Money. However she didn't look completly pleased with what she had. To her, non of the clothes were even close to Special.

She eventually found Something to her liking and quickly went to a Cabin to change. After Exiting, she looked for Val, who was Standing not far from it.
"Hey Human, I think I found Something fitting, wh-what do you think?"

Val gave her a thumbs up, he certaintly liked it, though it wasn't Something he expected from the Herrscher. He wouldn't Complain though.
"Mhhm, it's great. I like it. What about you though?"

"Well it's not half Bad, I suppose I would like to have it."

Despite her words, it became easy for Val to tell over the time they spent here if she liked something or not. And who was he to deny her something more modest.
Val smiled and nodded, that smile however became a bit pained when he saw the total price of her Outfit. However, he paid leaving him with over a third of this months Pay into these clothes. When he had paid and turned around he saw Sirin in a Dress, this time quite proud of her finding.

It was beautifull, but Val knew, beautifull means expensive, however, seeing her so happy he just couldn't interfere.

Val sighed at his foolishness, however he just couldn't bring himself to deny her this.
"My Bank Account is dwindeling at a visible rate, but she seems so happy. Welp, less Art supplies for me."

After Sirin had changed back, she was about to put it back where it was before, Val had asked of her not to cause too much Chaos and she had decided not to burden him.
She usually wouldn't have cared about such a request, however he had done things for others wouldn't so a little favor wouldn't hurt her as she decided.

Before she could put it back though, he grabed the Dress and turned to face her.
"You like that one, don't you?"

"Well, I guess, however, it isn't THAT good and-"

Val Interfered in her attempt deny her obvious liking, with an already tired looking expression on his face.
"Uhuh, come on, I am the one Paying anyway. It ain't much Trouble."

Sirin thought for a second, she was a little bit conflicted, however, she wouldn't say No to his Offer.
"Hmph, I'm not that Interessted in it, however if you insist, I suppose I could take you up on that offer."

"It's setteled then."
A few minutes later, Val and Sirin were done with Shopping Clothes. Val decided to finally get some Art supplies, which he did. Sirin watched him and was surprised to See him so passionate about Something. While he went through the store, he began to beam from excitement, it was rejuvanating to him, not even when he cooked, was he like that.
"Ooohhh,look at this Stuff, hmmm... that paper is good for water colours so that's not it, uhhhh, where is th-  Ahhh, perfect.~"

Sirin unintentionaly cracked a little smile. He was so Immersed in his Search that it was nearly Childish. After Val finished his search and paid, the two exited the Art Store.

Now it was noon, the sun was Shining and the whole place began to get hot. In addition there were people everywhere. Sirin and Val were sweating, Though Val was hit a bit more, since he carried all their new possessions.

Sirin saw Something interessting, an Ice Cream Shop, Unfortunatly all Tables were ocupied and a Line of People was already waiting.
Val looked in her direction and he knew what he would do next.
"Ice Cream?"

Sirin quickly tore her gaze off of the shop. However she realised that it might be good against the heat in the place so she gave in.
"Unnecessery...but If you insist I belive we could stand in Line."

And they did just that, fortunatly the Line wasn't very long yet, so it was quickly their turn.
Sirin took Chocolate, Val went with Vanilla. After they got away from the Crowded Mall they ate their Ice Cream.

Val devoured his ice cream with bliss.
"Mmmmm, Vanilla, my Favorite, Haah~ It has been too long since I had my last Ice Cream."

Sirin who had only heard of it before was also pleasently surprised
"Mmmmm!!!! This is so good!!!"

"I know right?"

Sirin ate more of it, but the more she ate, the more she began to remember an old scenario. It was somewhat nostalgic, but to her it was mostly sad. She began to question her Decisions at Babylon Lab, If maybe she could have had survived, If she could have had a better life and she began to lose her appetite.

Val noticed that Something was Off, he decided to ask her.
"Hey, are you okay there?"

Sirin snaped out of her nostalgia and tried not to let him see her frown, instead trying to . "Wha- Oh, uhhh, yes of course, I just think I ate too much."

Val's expression stiffend for a moment, then he let out a deep sigh.
"...You may be powerfull as Hell, but you are a really bad liar."

"... Sh-shut up, Idiot." She then turned her head to the side mumbeling
"...I hate you."

Val looked at her in Concern, he saw through her Insults. He knew it from someone else that he had known.
"Hmm, I doubt that. Do you want to talk about it?"

".... No."

She wasn't ready to tell anyone about this. She just couldn't. He acknowledged it, leaving that for another time. After they had finished their Ice Cream, they went back to the Hyperion.

Later that Evening, Val and Sirin sat at the Kitchentable, eating Like usual. However Sirin was even more Silent then she normaly was. Val eventually spoke up.
"Alright, what's wrong? Is Something wrong with the food?"

Sirin snapped back into reality, she had thought about her decisions at babylon lab the entire day, it just didn't let her go, eating away at her usual surpirior behavior aswell.
"Wha- No!!! It's good -uhhh good enough I mean!!! I'm just not in the mood to talk."

The last Part she said with less excitement, but with a lot more fatigue. She was Completly tired, but the room was also filled with sadness.

Val knew he couldn't help her properly until she would let him. However that did not make it less upsetting to him. When she finished, Sirin left without a word and Val, who was now busy with cleaning up, had no idea what to do.

He eventually decided to try Something, a small plan for the next Day had been made...
