"In other news, astrologists say the much awaited solar eclipse will happen in 5 days. This has increased sales for eclipse souvenirs like the astro glasses and eclipse t-shirts all over the tri-state area. Trading on the stock market has also risen leaving citizens with higher costs in marketing and services."

Dad turned the dial on the radio.

"Enough of this mambo jumbo" He said.

The atmosphere at home was cold although the sun was as vibrant as ever. The heaters were on and it should be warm. But it wasn't.

Jude was up in his room recuperating. He got stitched up at a hospital in a state before ours. Of course we didn't pass through the right channel to get him some help.

The police looking for us should be our last disturbance.

I sat in our Victorian chair staring at my Dad moving about the Manor, being as strange as ever.

First his crew haircut has changed the loving, upbeat Dad I know to a depressed tyrant who switches between moods anytime.

He drunk alcohol from the bottle instead of a glass like he use to. He has not called me to explain our next move like he use to. I thought I was special.

For a moment I thought he was also possessed, or maybe we're just close to the 13th day so much that he can't wait to destroy Gadiel.

He is still keeping us in the dark. 6 months ago he called us to his study and announced the beginning of a quest that will that will change our lives, especially me emphasized. All our training in the Grey Caps Organization was to prepare us for what we were to embark on.

Stopping Gadiel was not the only goal, it was to satisfy some closure my Dad needed. To heal a pain I did not know of. He said we have to capture and contain three dark creatures. Their power is going to be used to destroy Gadiel and he destroy him for good.

I do not know why or how Gadiel is coming back, and how we're going to stop him.

I sat there watching him. He noticed me, but still rendered me insignificant.

"Dad!" I called.

" Yeah?" He responded and turned,  relaxed and eased out.

He walked in a thunderous pace, one step at a time. He sat in a chair directly opposite to mine. We were separated by a low rectangular table. Some papers with runic inscriptions was scattered all over it.

He raised his hand with his eyes closed as I was about to speak.

"Do you know the story about Icarus?" He opened his eyes and asked.

"-I-I..." I stammered a few words out.

He raised his hand again.

I closed my mouth.

"You obviously know everything don't you?" He looked into my eyes.

I did not like the look in his eyes, it was intimidating. Clouded with disgust.

"Icarus was the son of Daedalus, a master craftsman. He's had his own years of Fame and recognition for his work. He was the one who built the great labirynth for King Crete to contain his monsters away from his people. He was a Great Man." He said as he smiled buh his  eyes where were without emotions. Empty. "Well this story is not about the father, it's not always about the father."

He lowered his head and stared into the carpet beneath his feet. He chuckled and brushed his hand slowly cross his face.

I sat there mute, stunned by the show my new Dad was broadcasting.
