Her fierce eyes couldn't hold the tears any more. They trickled down in a slient stream of emotions. They moved slowly down her rosy cheeks. She blinked a couple times to stop them but they kept flowing.

I threw my back on to the bed when I couldn't comprehend all that she had said. My life, my destiny, my existence; all a lie?

I'm not exaggerating for thinking that it has all being a lie. Growing up my father told me about how special I am, how I'm delicate to the course, not only for his closure and revenge but to secure the fate of the world.

It makes sense now, but still a mystery. A mystery that I'm an object to his course or his son. Why am I here?

"I know what you're thinking." Minerva said. She sniffed me snorted silently as she she wipped her tears. "You're thinking if he's actually your father."

I just stared at the ceiling. The ceiling fan was moving slowly, my eyes could follow one blade in every revolution it took.

"That's what I also thought, this could be the tip of the iceberg or your father is so bitter that everything else remains an object for his course until revenge has been taken." She said. She sqallowed a big gulp of saliva. "Eerrm even his son." She concluded.

I turned my head and looked at her. I understand why she's feeling this way, she has not felt the care of a father before. She cries, seeing it not done well.

She looked down at me blinking rapidly. Her eyes were trying to avoid my mine.

Knock. Knock. Knock. There was a knock at the door. I sat up and looked straight at the door.

The Black book fell out of Minerva's hands. The impact on the floor seized the knock.

"Are you decent?" The voice was my Dad's.

"Y-y-es." She said.

Her fingers were shaking as she was trying to pick up the book.

I walked quickly up to her and kicked the book, darting it under the bed.

The door knob immidiately turned and opened. He walked in and halted as he riased his head and saw me.

"Hey, I thought you were checking up on your brother." He said. Both hands on his waist.

I bet he didn't hear our conversation.

"Yeah sure, I was uumm, coming to get her to make breakfast." I said.

"Well go and start something, she'll be there with you." He stepped away from the and waved his had towards it.

Minerva looked away, fixing her face quickly and getting into character.

"Okay." I walked out of the room.

He closed the door behind me. I walked about three steps away from and stopped.

I crouched slightly to listen.

"HQ called, we have our next location to go." My dad's muffled voice was coming from the walls.

"What was he doing here?" He said.

"Dude! What's up with you?" I heard from a voice across the hall way.

Jude was up.

I straightened myself.

"Uuum I thought I heard some mice." I chuckled. "It must me be the pipes." I said as I point pointed to the corners of the ceiling.

I looked at his confused face. I smiled.

"We had a near death experience and you don't think to decide to be less weirder." He said.

I laughed and walked to him.

"Let me make you some breakfast." I said. I placed my hand over his shoulders trying to help him walk down the stairs.

He shrugged repulsively.

"I'm okay! I'm not sick you know?" He ranted.

I raised both hands.

"Okay okay" I said and led myself down the stairs straight to the kicthen.

I made oatmeal and toasted some bread. We were out of groceries.

I made the table ready. Jude was already eating and also complaining about no eggs and how he's expected to heal and get well with oatmeal and toasted bread.

He had forgotten about the last breakfast we had 6 months ago before leaving home.

He used up all our groceries to make the 'ultimate breakfast.' Fit for a King he said.

I sat at the table and waited for the two upstairs.

They came down soon enough and sat at the table, Minerva had an upset face on.

My Dad placed a tissue around his collar.

"Why are you not eating?" He asked and quickly started eating.

"Umm." I started eating. He has retained his manners at the table and somehow forgot that we always say the grace before eating.

After breakfast, My Dad stuffed the car with what we need for the next mission.

Without any briefing like usual, we set on a new journey to somewhere I do not know.

I sat in the backseat with Jude. Minerva rode her motorcycle and my dad's front passenger seat was empty.

I felt like asking Jude a few things. I felt like telling him about what I know now. He's just going to be less serious as always.

He was busy texting, completely immersed in his phone that, when we drove by certain questionable places he did not give his usual wisecrack comments.

The drive was long and the driver, my Dad, was driving with irregular speeds. Fast in a moment and then slow in another.

Eventually we came up to where we were heading to.

It was a quiet town on the country side. It was dry and heavily populated with conifer trees almost everywhere.

I did not see any sign for the town until we drove a little bit farther into it. The citizens were peaceful and calmly going about their busy.

"Welcome to Sallybrook." My dad read aloud.

He stopped the car in the middle of the road in the neighborhood.

Minerva turned her bike and rode to us. She stopped by my Dad's window.

"What are you waiting for?." She asked.

He checked his watched.

"I'm just buying time. I want to see it." He answered.

"Huh?" Minerva removed her helmet and looked around.

Jude and I also peered our heads through the windows. There was nothing just people walking around, talking, going about their business.

"What?" Minerva asked.

"Just uuum about now...seven, six..." He started counting down.

I looked at Jude's phone. It was 11:01 am.

"Now!" He yelled with some excitement.

The citizens all dropped to the floor. Everyone one was motionless on the floor. No matter where they were and what they were doing they just dropped dead on to the floor just at the place they were.

I came out of the car. There were piles of Bodies all of the place.

"Are they Dead?" I asked.

My Dad came out of the car.

"No they are asleep for the next 59 minutes." He said as he chuckled a bit.

I took a quick glance at his watch.

It was 11:02 am.
