EVANESCE (PART 1)

A week later, Aoife decided that she was ready to come clean about her past to Abigail as she, Gemma and Daniel stepped out of Megan's car who dropped them at their school gate. The three teenagers said their goodbyes to the woman who was seated on the driver's seat of the car. Megan returned the greeting and drove off. Daniel waved the girls goodbye and headed inside the other building. They both entered the school building and walked towards their lockers. They reached to their lockers and got their books out for their first class. As they close the lockers,

"Good morning, guys!!" A loud voice chimed along with a hand on their shoulders, startling both of them as they both let out a loud squeak. They both turned around, clutching their hands over the left side of the chest, just above the place where the heart is situated, and looked at the person who chimed so loud and gave them an almost heart attack.

 It was Abigail who was standing there with a bright smile on her face. Eyes sparkling in excitement also wrinkling due to her wide smile.

"ABIGAIL GRACE COHEN!! I FUCKING SWEAR IF YOU DO THIS ONE MORE TIME I WON'T FUCKING HESITATE TO RIP OFF YOUR HAIR AND BREAK THOSE FUCKING TEETH OF YOURS!!" Gemma yelled. Abigail's smile fell off as her eyes widened in fear. Even Aoife's eyes widen.

"S…. So…. Sorry! I…. I d…. Didn't m...me...mean to s..sc...sca..scare y..you b...b...bo...both." Abigail stuttered as she looked at Gemma in terror.

"Apology accepted!! Now let's go to the class!" Gemma said with a wide smile as she walked forward. Aoife and Abigail's mouth was wide open by watching Gemma's sudden change of expression.

Gemma walked a few steps as she noticed that both her friends were not behind her, so she turned around and noticed that both of them were still standing by their lockers with wide eyes and mouth.

"Why are you both standing like that? Did you encounter a ghost or what? C'mon or else we'll be late for our class!" Gemma said.

Both of them snapped out of their trance. They both looked at each other. Abigail had "what the hell just happened?" look on her face as Aoife shrugged her shoulder and walked towards Gemma. Abigail followed her.

All three of them were walking towards their first class. Gemma was walking forward, while Aoife and Abigail were behind her. They all reached the class. Gemma entered the class first as she was ahead of them. Abigail was about to enter when Aoife grabbed her wrist. 

Abigail stopped and looked back to see Aoife holding her wrist. She stepped back and stood in front of her.

"Yes?" Abigail said with a smile.

"Um…. Can we umm.. go somewhere, after school? I want to tell you something." Aoife said. Hesitance completely visible in her voice.

"Sure! How about my place?" Abigail asked. Aoife nodded and mumbled an "okay". Abigail smiled and turned back, completely missing the redness on Aoife's cheeks. They both entered the class just as the late bell rang.

It was lunch break as Gemma, Aoife and Abigail were now seated in the school canteen in their regular table. Gemma was on her phone as she was sipping her apple juice. Aoife was reading something in her book as the reading glasses rested on her nose. Abigail was also on her phone but most of the time she was staring at Aoife.

"Yeah, Abby! Daniel and I will be coming to your place after school. Is it okay?" Gemma said as she looked up from her phone, noticing that Abigail was staring at Aoife as she was busy reading.
