You
Made me
Feel that you
Really liked me.
And then you
Just left, just
Like it was
Nothing.”

―――――√√√√√√――――――

Two weeks flew by, since Abigail joined her new high school, meeting Aoife in the school corridor and being friends with her and her best friend Gemma. The friendship between Abigail and Gemma was going smoothly. But not with Aoife. Everytime Abigail talks with Aoife and Gemma during their lunch break in their school canteen, she notices that Aoife doesn't talk with them much. Only she talks with them regarding their classes which they have altogether. So Abigail decides to talk with Gemma about Aoife's introverted behaviour.

So during lunch break, Abigail walks towards the school canteen. As she enters she looks towards their usual table where all three of them sit together. As she looks there, she notices that only Gemma is sitting there and busy typing something on her phone.

‛This is the best time to talk with Gem alone’ Abigail thinks. After collecting her lunch, she walks toward their table and sits besides Gemma.

“Hey Gem, why are you sitting alone? And where's Aoife?” Abigail asked.

“Oh! Hey Abby! Ava said that she is not hungry and she wants to study. So she is in the school library. So I'm sitting here alone and plus I was waiting for you. Since you are also my friend.” Gemma said with a smile.

Abigail made a lips in a ‛o’ shape and then replied, “Gem, can I ask you something?”

“Sure, Go ahead.” Gemma said.

“Why does Aoife don't talk much with us? Especially with me. I know it's been two weeks, I have joined this school and I don't know much about you and Aoife and vice versa. But it feels awkward that I always talk with you and not with her. Even though I try to talk with her, either she nods or just answers in one word.” Abigail rambles.

Gemma sighed. “Look, Abby! Ava has gone through a lot in her past. Because of that, she doesn't trust people easily and lets them in easily. Right now, she doesn't trust you, whether you are trustworthy or not.”

“I'm trustworthy. Really I'm. She can trust me no matter how bad her past may be. I will not judge her or hurt her.” Abigail said.

“I know Abby! You are trustworthy but who am I to force her to trust people. You have to gain her trust. Don't rush. Or else it will turn out worse. Gain her trust slowly and step by step. Okay?” Gemma said with a small smile.

Abigail nodded and they sat silently. After a few minutes of silence, Gemma spoke.

“Abby?” Abigail hummed and looked at her. “Do you like Ava?” Gemma raised her eyebrow suspiciously. Abigail choked as she was eating her sandwich. After swallowing her bite of sandwich, she spoke.

“N.. No?” Gemma rolled her eyes and said, “Oh Please, don't lie to me. Say it honestly, do you like Ava?”

Abigail sighed and nodded her head. Gemma's lips formed in ‛o’ shape and started thinking about something. After a few minutes of thinking, Gemma spoke with a threatening face.

“If you like Ava, you have to clear the tasks which I will tell you. If you pass the tasks, you have my permission to tell your feelings to her. But if you fail, you will be no longer trustworthy. Are you ready for it?” Gemma said.
