Jayden Miller walked into the warehouse. It had been two days since he had done the kidnapping. But there had been no payment. He was about to call his boss, William Morgan when the latter called him first. It was short. Jayden was to gather all his men and report at the warehouse near the docks.
It was a huge warehouse spanning two storeys, guarded by at least ten to fifteen men on the outside. The ground floor had a lot of goods kept in wooden crates. Some of them were even marked explosives and flammables. Here too, there were ten men guarding the crates. As he manoeuvred through those crates, he climbed a stairs which led to a makeshift employee meeting room which was mostly vacant, except for a couple of tables and several steel chairs propped up. There were just two men in the room.
His boss, Morgan, nodded in recognition as Jayden and the men walked in. He walked forward and uttered something in the ears of the other man. He was of medium height and jacked up. Dude must have been a bouncer in his days, Jayden thought. Weirdly, he had tied a cloth around the lower part of his face that only his eyes and nose were visible. Those eyes were devoid of any emotion.
Morgan talked to the men. "Boys, this is Mr. Lyman. He's the one that put us up for the kidnapping we did a couple of days ago. I called you all here on his orders..."
Jayden started speaking. "Hey, just give us our-"
Jayden never saw the well-built man reach for his gun. He was too late in realising what was about to happen before his head exploded, spattering the floor with blood. His body fell like a tree cut down. The other men panicked but they were all dead before they could do anything, their heads exploding just like Jayden's did.
Lyman spoke in a high cold voice. "Clear these bodies, Morgan."
Shocked beyond his wits, Morgan set about pulling the bodies over and tying them up in body bags, to be discarded later. It took him a good part of an hour.
As soon as he was done, Lyman shot him in his head too. The body bags were thrown into the sea.
