After Harry had been chosen as the fourth Triwizard champion, everyone was dismissed and Alecto glanced at Severus who rushed after Dumbledore and Madame Maxime, who went to the room where the champions were told to go to.

It's quite odd, it's supposed to be the Triwizard tournament, not the— Quart-wizard tournament...
Alecto cringed at her made up word and made her way down to Severus' office, hoping he'd stop by there after listening to what Harry had to say for himself. She felt bad for the kid, he's told her about everything that's happened to him before and the poor boy just can't stay out of trouble.

She went inside and sat down in Snape's chair and waited patiently, soon, to Alecto's luck, he walked in. Although he did look quite annoyed.

"Alecto, it's late, you should be in bed."
The girl scowled at this, "You're not my father Severus, don't sound like one..."

It didn't seem to bother him as much as it annoyed her that he treated her like a child, "I am still your professor." He replied blankly and picked up a stack of 1st year essays.

Brushing off her annoyance, Alecto spoke up again, "What did Harry say?"
Severus' expression turned into a nasty scowl, "Obviously he said he hadn't put his name in."

Alecto stood from his chair, "Well maybe he's telling the truth–"

"–Potter? Telling the truth? He's always been an attention seeking liar, just like his father, going after the spotlight and not as if being the chosen one is enough, no, he had to go ahead and try out for the Triwizard tournament."

"Oh c'mon, you're sounding silly..."

Snape turned to Alecto and gave her a shrewd look, "I'm just saying, Harry's got alot on his plate and I don't think he would've even wanted this."

"Alecto you should head to bed–"

"Severus, you can't shut me out and treat me like a kid each time you get annoyed with Harry!"

Looking at her, his black eyes softened as he sighed deeply, "I apologize."

Alecto nodded and being the forgiving person she is she smiled at him, trying to lift the mood in the room.
"You're too good for me." Severus pulled her closer to him by her waist and pecked her forehead gently, "But head off to the common room, I don't want to take off any unnecessary house points from Slytherin."

The green eyed girl nodded and smiled.

Alecto skipped breakfast the next day, actually to be honest she missed it, overslept is the correct term.
She had been struggling to fall asleep and when she finally did she kept dreaming...
First there was a graveyard, there was a maze, a snake, and... Severus.
She ignored the dreams, although her father told her to tell him of all her dreams, she did write to him though.
She told him of Harry and in what situation he is. Just incase Harry didn't tell Sirius himself.

Father

Harry was selected as the fourth Triwizard champion... I'm quite sure he didn't enter himself though, maybe someone else did it as a prank or something?

She thought a bit...

As for my dreams, I'm doing fine, I've had no strange ones in the last few weeks.

After classes Harry had told her about the Potter Stinks badges that the Slytherin's wore and what Snape did, apparently Harry and Malfoy attacked eachother and their spells ricochet, Potter's hit Goyle, which Snape sent to the hospital wing and Malfoy's hit Hermione, who's teeth started growing at an alarming rate, Harry told Alecto that Snape simply said he saw no difference and even took points from Gryffindor.

She wasn't the best of friends with Hermione but it angered her immensely, she didn't know why she was so angry about it. But she had to take it out on someone...

Alecto walked into Severus' clasroom and it was a few minutes before dinner, "Alecto, I was just finishing up." He he said in a silky voice and got up.

"I heard what you said to Hermione." She crossed her hands over her chest and narrowed her eyes at her professor.

He glanced at her and back at his work and put the assignments in a neat pile ontop of some other pieces of parchment, "Well?" Alecto continued, waiting for his response.

"What am I supposed to say Alecto? I apologize for what I said? I don't because the girl is nothing more than a babbling know it all."

"She started crying! Don't you have any sympathy?!"

Severus moved from behind his desk to Alecto quickly and growled lightly, his smooth monotone voice raising into an angry one, "If you haven't noticed, Black, I'm not the most sympathetic person. One would've thought you'd know that before trying to be in a relationship with me." His face was right above hers and it was slightly intimidating.

"This isn't about us! It's about you being so bloody rude and breaking down people's confidence! What if it was me? Would you have said the same?!"
Thinking firstly because he was with her, he'd obviously say no, and secondly because she's Slytherin, she didn't expect his response.

"Yes. I would most possibly have said the same and I would've meant it because thats the type of person I am." His eyes narrowed at her until he saw the small frown appearing on her face, his eyes relaxed and filled with regret.

Alecto's POV

Normally I'm not this sensitive, I ignore things like this, no one else could break me down the way I break myself down, but honestly, knowing that he'd say the same to me, what he said to Hermione...
Did he mean what he said?
Did he not like the way I looked?

I turned away from him and he reached out to cup my face but I quickly hit his hand away. "Don't touch me..."

I turned and left the classroom and the professor I was angry with, although I still loved him, maybe he didn't feel the same anymore and was trying to tell me...

Walking to the great hall for dinner I could feel tears well up in my eyes but wiped them away quickly before entering, as I entered it's as if I entered a whole other dimension... the great hall was completely empty, it didn't even look like the great hall another second later, I saw people with masks, the Death Eaters, they all looked my way, there was a hooded figure in the middle and he held out his arms to me‐ I let out a slight scream as someone grabbed me from behind and put their hand over my mouth, "Welcome back, Alecto."
It was her, the woman, the one I saw in my dreams, she let out a slight chuckle and started laughing along with some Death Eaters, I let out another fearful scream and everything faded away—

I could hear the sound of sudents talking but it died way quickly as I heard my screaming end, I was in the great hall, where I was before everything changed, it was like some nightmare I had while I was awake.

I quickly turned and left the hall, humiliation filling my insides and twisting in my stomach.

What's going on with me...

*

A few days passed and Alecto tried to avoid Severus as much as possible, although it wasn't entirely possible, but soon the first task came up and Alecto sat with Hermione, both hoping Harry would make it, luckily he did and put up quite a good show as well.
