Sora woke with a start as a large clap of thunder sounded overhead. Her apartment building trembled from the great rumble. She felt several plushies snuggle closer to her and attempt to comfort her. Henry, who was currently inhabiting a cute mint green narwhal plush cowered at the foot of her bed. A faint smile spread across her lips as she sat up and pulled him into her arms.

"It's okay, everyone." Sora fought off a yawn as she tried to calm down the few trembling pixies who were startled by the storm.

Howling winds shrieked outside and rattled the windows. Sora sat up as the window next to her bed suddenly flew open in the gale force winds. She scrambled out of bed and hurried to the window to try and secure it. Rain poured in from the open window. Slipping across the now soaked hardwood floor, Sora struggled to get to the window. She fought against the strong gusts of wind to get the window to shut. She felt a pair of plush paws press against her hand and realized Locke, in his giant stuffed bear form, was trying to help her shut the window.

With Locke's help, she managed to get the window shut and latched it. One of her pesky little pixie friends had probably unlatched it earlier in the evening to be funny. Her sky-blue eyes glanced out the window just as a blinding streak of lightning struck the building across the street. A soft scream escaped her as a shower of sparks rained from the top of the building across the street, though it didn't appear that anything had caught on fire. She stumbled away from the window and scampered back to the safety of her bed.

The plushies atop her bed all swarmed toward her offering her comfort and support as she buried herself under the blankets. There was another deafening crack as lightning struck too close for comfort. This time there was a power surge and the electricity went out with a loud pop. Henry let out a panicked wail of fright that was so alarming and adorable it had made Sora momentarily forget her own terror. She let out a soft giggle and hugged the mint green narwhal plush close.

"Don't worry, Henry, I got you." She snuggled the plush close.

The storm raged on overhead and Sora crawled under the covers with a pile of cowering plushies. Snuggled up and surrounded by her ever-faithful pixie friends, Sora was able to stay calm and stop focusing on the terrifying storm. They all hid from the storm until Sora had fallen back asleep.

When Sora woke, the power seemed to have returned, though all the clocks were flashing the incorrect time. She rolled out of bed and giggled as several plushies hopped after her. There was a trail of animated plushies following her from the bed to the kitchen as she started fixing the clock on the microwave and began to boil some water for a morning cup of tea to help wake her up. A yawn escaped her as several plushies began climbing atop the counter to help her pack up what she needed to take to the bakery and prepare her tea.

"You guys can just relax; you don't have to help me." Sora piped up softly as she watched Henry struggle to push a basket of strawberries across the counter toward her large reusable shopping bag.

"We love helping, Sora!" River, a pretty pale aqua colored pixie who usually wore a cute little lavender pair of glasses that were somehow always askew, cheered. She was currently inhabiting a cute lavender dinosaur plush and struggling to open the tea tin of Sora's favorite breakfast tea.

Sora's heart swelled as she watched the animated plushies bustle about her small kitchen trying to help her out. "You guys are the best." She beamed.

With the help of her pixie pals, Sora was able to take her time getting ready and enjoy a nice hot shower. She actually had time to sit down and enjoy her cup of tea before heading off to the bakery. The pixies left the inanimate objects they were inhabiting and resumed floating above her head in a bright rainbow cloud. Sora smiled and headed to the bakery with her friends overhead.
