It had been two months since Mahalia's hospital stay. The scar that had been carved into her stomach had healed completely and whenever someone asked her about it, she'd just say it was a drunken mistake of a tattoo. Her knee hadn't healed properly so she had to have multiple surgeries in order for it to heal correctly. The scars on her chest were now permanent tiger stripes and her face had went back to what it was before. Her ribs weren't bruised anymore either.

She had to have rehab every week to ensure that her walking would be normal again. Through everything Mahalia had been through, she only believed that she lost her pride. The police had contacted her multiple times and each time they asked her did she know her attackers, she always said no. They asked was her memory coming back about the horrible event, she said no. It all was a lie, but Mahalia wanted payback before she revealed to everyone that she knew who the three were.

Keyon had been by her side every since and she thanked him everyday for being her care taker. Zaire, on the other hand, wanted badly to apologize to Mahalia for how harsh he sounded, but that was months ago. Plus, if he wanted to contact her, all he needed to do was stop by her house because her address was on the ID tag that he'd brought back to her. Recovery was hard, but she was making it back to normal day by day.

——— Mahalia's POV ———
Everything's...not normal. Every since I had been jumped by those bitches, I cut all ties off with my plug. I got a new one, a female one. I didn't have to worry about no baby mama drama with a female one. Marcus didn't even check on me, and the incident had been on the news because the police and ambulance showed up the day of it. Plus, he had my number. He still even had that bitch in his house.

But, other then that. I was doing okay. I started praying more, walking more, and I've been going to church and I worked hard enough to get to the top of the class. I was almost a college junior and I was so proud of how much I had accomplished. Truthfully, I don't think I would have made it if I didn't get attacked. That just made me wanna go harder. That made me wanna do better.

Keyon has been a big help every since day one of my hospital stay. Medicaid paid all the hospital bills and I was saving up to get another Honda. It was in my budget so I was just trying to get around no matter how. My dad and sister has visited every week since I got out of the hospital and the only good thing Marcus did do for me was pay my rent for the next three months like I asked him.

My hair also was growing back due to the doctors shaving it because of the concussion. I actually had been planning on cutting my afro so I did look nice with shorter hair. Today was Monday afternoon, and I wanted to do a little shopping on my own to get my knee accustomed to bending again. Honestly, I didn't think I would ever walk the same again but I pushed myself to do better. I called an uber and soon enough I was at the local grocery store.

My niece and her mom moved back to Cali today and I was just lonely sitting in this house with no one to love on. After Mahalia stormed out months ago, I didn't have another female in my house. I didn't feel right just having someone else in my bed. I had been so rude to shorty that I probably lost her. I don't even date fat bitches but I really just wanted to give her a chance to see if I really liked her.

I was busy searching up her name on facebook trying to get in contact with her to see if she could stop by. Truth be told, shorty was beautiful. I was being an asshole treating her like the rest of these bitches and not even getting a chance to see her inner beauty. I finally found her facebook page after twenty tries of searching names and I messaged her through messenger.

I waited an hour to see if she would accept the request and eventually I fell asleep waiting on her response.
