Raven Branwen was calmly sipping a tea in her camp. She had heard rumors about the grimm with an aura, despite the people not believing it, especially since the video was deleted before it could even spread, she knew it was true.
How she knew this? Well, her younger twin brother visited her a few days ago, she got the information from him.
He wanted to know if she knew about the Spring Maiden and warned her about the grimm. Of course she chased him away, she wasn't afraid of no grimm, aura or not, especially now since she owned the power of the Spring Maiden.
She did not say anything though. No knows that she is the Spring Maiden except her right hand woman, Vernal, whom she is training to be a substitute-spring maiden.
She trusts her brother, but she doesn't trust Ozpin. She kept telling her brother to not believe the old wizard, that he was lying, or at the very least, not telling the whole truth.
She doesn't trust people like him.
Suddenly, a short haired woman with tan skin walked inside her tent. Raven has her eyes closed, not even looking at the one who entered her tent.
"What is it, Vernal?"
"Raven, we have....a problem."
Opening her eyes, she glanced at Vernal with a frown. "What is it? Is it my brother again?"
"No.....it's something more....complicated...Its better if you see it for your self."
Raven sighed and stood up. She knew Vernal doesn't have the guts to disturbed her 'tea time' if the situation wasn't so serious.
"Fine. Let's get this over with."
As the two of them exited her tent, the very first thing Raven noticed was her people gathered at the entrance, their weapons in hand, pointing at a giant black wolf with purple eyes.
Her eyes widened, this was the grimm with an aura. It was much larger than she anticipated, it was much taller than the walls on her camp.
Its purple eyes brought shiver to her spine. She expected that with the maiden powers, this grimm won't be much of a threat, but it seems like she was mistaken.
When Fenrir saw Raven, it immediately hopped over the wall and walked towards her. Fenrir stared at Raven's eyes before opening its mouth.
Raven already gripped the handle of her sword, preparing to attack.
She didn't expect to hear a male voice coming from the grimm.
{Raven Branwen....It would be less troublesome if you come with me. My master wishes to speak with you}
Her eyes widened, and so were the rest of her tribe. A grimm, a soulless creature of darkness, a mindless beast, just spoke?
However, she quickly regained ger composure and stared at grimm in the eyes.
"By master....you mean Salem?" She asked, what she didn't expect was for the grimm to snort.
{Hmph! Salem is nothing compared to my master! He was the one who gave me power! He was the one who now ruled the Grimmlands! So you better think of your actions carefully, one wrong move and this tribe will cease to exist before dawn tomorrow}
Raven bit her lip, she was still trying to process this new information. There is someone that is far more terrifying than Salem!
This grimm in front of her is all the proof she needs. If this master this Grimm is speaking off can give an ordinary beowolf a power that even made her feel uneasy, what will happen if he gave a Beringel, Nuckelavee, or god forbid, a grimm wyvern more power?
How powerful would they be? Just thinking about it caused her blood to run cold. This Grimm's threat about finishing off her tribe wasn't just a talk it seems.
"....fine, I'll come with you."
"Raven wha-?!"
Raven glared at Vernal before she could even finished speaking. Vernal swallowed her words, she had been Raven's favorite for a long time that she already forgotten how scary and dangerous Raven can be when she's angry.
{Very well. Hop on}
Raven nodded, but first ordered her tribe to not leave the camp until she returns. They did not say anything and just agreed.
After everything is done, she sighed and rode the back of the grimm. She already have some idea as to why Salem, or this mysterious master wanted to meet her.
Because of her Maiden Powers. Though she also doubted this, because if they really wanted the spring in her, then they should've just sent someone to kill her.
'Or they just wanted to kill me at their place...'
She sighed and glanced at the wolf, she was sure that she would be able to escape using her semblance, but her instincts honed from years of killing and fighting were screaming at her to not do that.
She was actually tempted to escape, but she's not stupid enough to actually do it.
Not only will her tribe be in danger, but she will also be hunted, and the only one who can help her are Ozpin and the others, and they surely ask for her to help them.
Just thinking about helping them makes her sick.
Suddenly, Fenrir halted, as Raven raised an eyebrow. She was about to ask what's going on when a large shadow descended to the ground, causing a very powerful gust of wind that almost blew her away.
She uses her arm to shield her face. When the wind settled down, she took this chance to observed the creature that causes this.
Her eyes almost popped out of her sockets when she saw it. A Nevermore, but not just ordinary one, it was freaking titanic Nevermore!
It was huge, at least twenty meters high, and more than thirty meters long. She was sure that its wings, if unfolded, would easily surpass fifty meters.
And just like the wolf, the nevermore doesn't have a mask, and its eyes were also purple.
Fenrir looked over Raven on his back and said, {This big fella will be your ride from now on. I will stay here and 'guard' your tribe}
Raven frowned but still nodded. It was a threat, that if she ever did something they don't like then Fenrir will slaughter her tribe.
'No matter...as long as I do what they want then nothing will happen.' She thought before jumping towards the back of the nevermore.
{Oh, and hold on tight! Tsukoyomi here is quite fast. We don't want to get blown away now do we?}
Raven snorted, but she still hold on the nevermore tightly. Even though she can change into a bird, she doesn't want to experience the feeling of falling.
'Well, I guess I will finally meet the Grimm Queen in person.'
