Bendy POV

With the money given to me by Joey, I paid for a small two bedroom house in a nice neighborhood. All I could think about was how nice it felt, nice to have a home again. After getting furniture situated among other things, I proceeded to make safety precautions. I made a built in lock on the back door which would drop a board in front of it once I pulled a string. I wasn't sure if Cuphead would ever find us here, but that was a risk I wasn't willing to take. Gracie was painting on her bedroom walls, which I allowed so she'd be occupied while I set up my backup plans. Holding her clothes, I smiled while I watched as she painted a bunny, her cheeks having paint on them which was the cutest thing.

"What do we think? Do we like it here?" I asked her while I put her clothes into her little dresser. She looked over at me still painting.

"Why? Are we moving again?" She asks as I couldn't help but smile.

"No. No we just go-." She quickly cut me off as she put her paintbrush in her can of water.

"Good. Cause I am sick. To death. Of moving." She says dramatically as I followed her out to our small kitchen.

"Yeah me too. Listen hun, you can call me Mom, Dad, or Allison, but you can't call me Bendy." I tell her as she turned to me after putting away her can with paint water.

"I never call you Bendy." She says as I shrug.

"I know honey, but it's just a new rule we have okay?" She nodded understanding as I came over to help wash the brushes. While we washed up, she asked if she could have a new name too, and I don't know why I agreed. The next morning I took her to kindergarten arriving a little late. I introduced myself to the teacher who was saying hi to the students. Then she asked my daughter her name.

"I'm Queen Elizabeth!" She exclaims happily as I sucked in my lips seeing the teachers confused reaction. Sweetly, she went along with it as the two went into the school building and I left for my work.

Take Care

"I like talking to uncle, but every Sunday do we have to drive for 55 hours just to reach some phone booth?" Gracie asked me as we were on the road. I sighed quietly to myself feeling a bit agitated. It was true that traveling this far was annoying, but I had no choice. I couldn't risk anything, and I needed to know what was going on at our old place with Cuphead, so that I would know what to do.

"Can I call daddy this time?" She asked as I bit my cheek.

"No." I said sternly trying to not get upset with her.

"Please! Please!" She begged making her puppy eyes I saw in the rearview mirror.

"Don't beg you look like a dog." I remarked having her go quiet. I saw in the mirror she was glaring as she ate her chocolate sprinkled donut. It was a little cute, but I felt bad keeping her from her dad. It was for the best though. Once we got the phone booth I contacted Mugs while Gracie played with her basketball.

"Okay, but you know he has friends in the police department, and you're depriving him of his rights as a father some nonsense like that. It's all leading up to a big custody hearing." Mugs told me while we talked. I had to know what to do next to ensure Gracie was in my custody. Mugs was smart and knew his brother best so he was doing his best to help me.

"So what are you saying?" I ask.

"Just talk to him. Calm him down before he does something stupid." Mugs advised as I looked up at the sky. I don't know if I could do that. He made it clear his anger can't be helped with my love.

"Well-"

"It might help if he spoke to Gracie. For her sake too, I mean you of all people know it's not healthy to be without a father." He explained as I felt a halt in myself when he suggested that. A part of me felt furious he would even consider something like that.

"You know we better keep this short, I'll call you next week okay?" I say in my sweetest tone.

"But wait a minute I want to speak to Gra-" I quickly hung up the phone after saying bye. I don't want him speaking to my child, he's so dangerous. I love that man to my core, and I wanted my child to be close to her father. But after all that's happened, I can't help but feel protective over her. As I moved away from the phone, I looked up seeing Gracie sitting on a step holding her basketball with a sad look on her face. I felt a sting of guilt hit me. I know she misses her dad, the two were close every minute since she was born. I guess, it'll be okay this one time.

Narrator POV

"Hi daddy! We're having a great vacation!" Gracie said happily holding the phone in her small hands. Bendy stayed beside her being sure they could supervise the whole thing so he didn't trick her into giving him any info on them, and where they are.

"Oh yeah? Where?" Cuphead said on the other line.

"We've been everywhere! Chicago an-" Bendy quickly took the phone realizing what he asked.

"Look, no questions okay, or it ends now." They say before giving the phone back. Before Gracie could say anything Cuphead spoke, thinking Bendy was still on the phone.

"Listen, bitch, she's my daughter too. So don't fucking tell me how I can talk to her. Just. Put me back on the phone with Gracie. Give her the damn phone." He said in a stern, angry tone. She looked up at her parent with an expression reading she was uncomfortable. Seeing that, Bendy knelt to her level.

"Just tell dad you love him, and say good-bye. Okay?" They told her as she held the phone losely to her ear, unsure of how to react to the situation. Cuphead in his house heard that, causing him to roll his eyes and realize Gracie heard him.

"Gracie? Sweetie you there? Sweetheart talk to me." Cup said in his gentle tone as Gracie was about to give the phone back.

"Bye daddy." She said softly. She handed the phone back to her dad as Cup tried to apologize to her.

"I'm really, really sad." Gracie told them as they put the phone back. Bendy picked her up to console her as they went back to the car to go home. They knew that was a bad idea from the start, and now they wouldn't allow that again. Gracie didn't need to be exposed to that side of her parent's relationship, so Bendy swore to himself to protect their baby from any trauma.
