[[So this is a special for Australia Day, hope you enjoy! Not sure if his name is Bruce if it isn't please tell me. I saw Bruce in another Australia One-shot.

I am sorry for spelling mistakes; I have not read through this and checked for errors. I wanted to post something for you guys. I will edit this later, anyway enjoy!

This is more of a friends hang out, not a "romance" One-shot, sorry for the inconvenience -when editing I may add more writing to this so make sure you check!

It was the 25th of January, one more day till Australia Day. Your friend Bruce was preparing for a big day in the year for him: Australia Day!

It was big in the city of Perth.

[I would know, they spent 2 million this year, 90% of it on fireworks]

So Bruce invited you along.

It was going to be amazing and you could wait.

—Time skip—

"HAPPY 'STRAYA DAY!"

Your friend barged through the door, sunscreen across the nose, green and gold out fit on and to complete his outfit: an Australian flag tied around his neck to look like a cape.

[Cause that's how we do it in Straya]

"Bruce."

"Yeah?"

"It's midnight."

"And?"

"I was sleeping."

"But it's Australia Day."

"Yeah, happy Australia Day."

Bruce claps his hands as he jumps up and down.

"Can I sleep now?"

"Yeah sure why not, you need your rest anyway for today!"

And with that your over excited friend shut the door and you feel on your pillow going to sleep once more.

—Another Time Skip—

"Alright we are at the beach, we got the cricket set, the Eski and we are good to go!" Bruce happily said as he finished setting up the cricket set.

You were there setting up the beach towels in the shade, along with the Eski of course and then Bruce's family started to arrive.

There was Alfred, who was loud and obnoxious.

[But we still love him]

His brother; Mathew, the quiet one.

Francis, the flirt.

And then there was Arthur, the one who couldn't cook and his eyebrows looked like caterpillars but you couldn't say that to him, so Bruce did that for you when you met his family.

"Hey everybody!" Bruce waved to his....um family.

"Hey dude, how's it going," Alfred fist bumped him.

Mattie quietly said hi, Francis said something in French and Arthur grumbled something and he was sober.

"Let's go and have some fun!" you yelled excitedly.

"I shotgun being first batter!" and with those last words you sprinted off towards the cricket bat.

"Not if I can help it mate."
