You had awoken in a heated rush that early morning. Sprinting down the long red corridors in nothing but you nightwear clothes as you tried to find what you were looking for. Little sprinkle of lights had cascaded through the building as you searched through the palace trying to not get lost in the long agriculture and hangings on the walls. You bumped into several maids as your feet fled across the eerily cold floor. The sound of your heartbeat becoming increasingly louder as you reached near to the end of your search.

Being the fire lady wasn't something that had come naturally to you. You had lived in the outer ring of the earth kingdom your whole life, scavenging for meals out of dumpsters and picking up jobs since early age. You had been alone in what seems your entire lifetime. You were dumped by your family at such a young age being alone is what kept most natural to you. You had remembered a day you had ever felt most lonely when a grumpy tall boy had bumped into you with a shorter old man. You remembered how he spat angrily at you as the old folk had tried to calm him down. Although the boy had been quite utterly rude to you, a sense of fulfilment had washed over your body like a piercing light.

You remembered the next time you had seen him, a week or two later in a new tea shop that had just opened. The warm smile on the old man that had accompanied him and the radiant light that seemed to be reflecting of the young boy made you dive into the mysterious case of him even more, noticing only now the painful looking scar on his left eye.

You had met eachother many times after that, the most prominent one when he had asked for your help in team Avatar. Remembering the boy that had been so unkind to you when you first crossed paths you were hesitant at first, but with some of the Avatars words you surely came around.

You remembered the travelling nights and the days the two of you would wonder on your own away from the gang, eating sun kissed berries in the pine woods and sitting under waterfalls with the critters. The light that came over you when you two were together. The static electricity you felt between gazes and the warmness of his firery touch.

You remembered the same time he kissed you, over and over again. You remembered the pained expression on his face as he watched his sister in agony. You remembered the first time he became Firelord Zuko and you, his fire lady.

You finally had stopped to take a breath as you had realised Zuko was gone. He had been badgering on the last couple of weeks about the trouble in the Nothern water tribe and how he needed to end it.
You had told him to stay and how Sokka and the others could handle it-that it wasn't his place to decide. He had finally caved into your argument and had wished to talk of it no further holding you in his arms as he nuzzled his face into your neck. You breathed in relieved as the two of you had gone to bed.

"Of course he was lying!" You outbursted as the maids and servants stood lined up in front of you gazing at you with worry in their eyes.

"He could have just not gotten into this mess, but nooo- it's like he had to restore his honour all over again!"
You huffed, remembering all that he had told you about his vengeance to capture the Avatar, something he wouldn't call his proudest moment.

You had slept for the next 3 days as you had wished for time to close in sooner so you could see him once again. You had eventually found a note that had been written to you from Zuko in which he had apologised for betraying you and which soonly ended up thrown to the wall by the a rock pulled out of the ground.

You weren't really angry at him though. You were lonely. You missed him dearly and had woken up in sweats praying for his safety. You were cold. The bed was rock solid and the warm touch of the fire benders arms that snaked around your body were extinguished.
