summary a little angst? In this one y/n is dating mako and korra doesn't like it but can't figure out why :0

Korra hated it. No— she dreaded it. She watched as she saw you cling to Mako's arm. His scarf brushing against your face as you laughed with some guests.
You looked so pretty. No— you looked beautiful.

Jealousy was such a gross emotion and Korra hating feeling it, even if she wouldn't admit it. All Korra knew was when she saw you clinging to Mako's arm like he was gonna fall apart she despised it. The growing feeling in her chest everytime she saw you two just made her sick.

This grew Korra to dislike you, even as much as she stared you up and down when you walked in the room, she considered them hate stares.

So when you walked up to her wearing a dark blue dress hanging your hair around your waist she couldn't take it, storming off in a huff spitting a harsh mutter under her breath.

You glared at her.

Everyone had excused her behaviour but you hadn't. Why did she dislike you so much? As soon as Mako introduced you too it was like she had made you her sworn enemy. Everyone brushed it off as her natural nature but you wouldn't take the slander she had shown you.

You tapped onto Makos shoulder.

"I'm just going to go to the bathroom, Mako. I'll be right back." You informed him.

He nodded smiling at you as you untangled yourself from him turning to the balcony Korra headed too.

You stepped down the long hallway, your heart beginning to raise at the confrontation you were about to face. You noticed the soft light of the outside balcony as you lifted the silk curtain covering the doorway.

You noticed a shifting Korra standing on the edge of the balcony rubbing her hands over her face.

You reluctantly called out,

"Korra!" You sighed before speaking again, "we need to talk." You stood in place a couple of metres behind Korra.

She stopped shuffling turning her head to the side,

"What do you want?" She spat.

You took a step back from her harsh words, sighing as you moved to stand next to her.

She faced her head away from you as you stepped closer to her. You gazed up to the stars sighing as you took in the fresh atmosphere around you. You felt surprisingly calm in her presences with the much hatred she had expressed to you in the past.

It was strange, she faced away from you but her hand sat only a few paces away from you. Like she was beganing you to touch it, hold it even.

"Why do you act like this Korra?" You spoke, breaking the silence between you, the sound of people and music blaring into the background.

"Why do i act like what?" She returned. Ignoring the blatant way she had been treating you.

You scoffed, "Are you kidding me?" You turned to look her in the eye but she kept her eyes away from you staring into the ground.

"Ever since we've met you've been avoiding me! And when you can't avoid me, your mean to me!" You raised your voice, not yelling but feeling the anger begin to rise up within you.

"Because... your annoying!" She fumbled on her words.

"Annoying?" You scoffed. You were beyond upset at this point. How could she say that when you had shown her nothing but kindness.

"Korra!" You yelled sick of her eyes avoiding you. You took a hand to her face, she gasped at she made eye contact with you.

"I have been nothing but kind to you!" You haven't noticed but you were closer then ever, your eyes pulsing into her own. For once the angry expression on her face disappeared and she hold a certain guilty look in her eyes.

You stood looking into her eyes, only now noticing your lips distance from each other, a thought that hadn't occurred to neither of you before.

"Just leave me alone!" Korra bursted pushing your hand away from her.

You gasped as she faced her back to you, crossing her arms looking to the ground once more.

You stood there with your arm still raised in the air in a state of shock. You gulped rendering the situation the had occurred. The sound of the lively music and people seemed to die out as you adjusted yourself.

"Fine. If that's what you want," You spoke, leveling your voice down to composure, "i won't ever speak to you again."

Korra's work stuck in her throat as you walked out from the balcony, returning to your boyfriend. She turned to watch as you left, as much as she hated it, she couldn't help but appreciate the silhouette you left.

She shifted leaning over the balcony, sighing as she thought to herself looking up at the stars.

She hated it— no she despised it, the fact that you left her standing there, that you touched her face, that she was mean to you but most importantly...

she hated that the two of you could never be together.
