~Ahana~
I was summoned by Rhee to the conference room on top floor of the building. My heart raced faster than its usual pace, knowing I would have to confront him now. No matter what.
Did he not like my way of apologising?
Or was it related to work?
I wished for latter."You are still here?" Shree chided seeing me in my cubicle.
"I'm going." I replied.
"Go fast. You already have bad experiences with him. You don't want one more, do you?" She advised getting concerned for me.
Smiling weakly I shook my head. "I will go."
Saying I went to the elevator which was alloted to employees. Entering in I pressed the top floor button and it started lifting up taking me to my destination.
I was definitely feeling anxious. My palms sweaty and breathing ragged.
I should not feel like that.
Why was I even feeling like that?
I just hope, whatever it was, wasn't very bad. I didn't want to face Rhee's wrath. I couldn't see that look on his face for me. The look of sneer, pure disgust and disappointment. It had made my heart clench last time. I won't want it again.Elevator stopped indicating that I reached on top floor. Doors opened allowing me to step out. The same white walls came into my view along with same floor length glass wall which looked upon skyline of the city.
Though everything looked as same as last time but there was something's that had changed. The aura of positivity. This place was not calming and peaceful anymore as before. The reason why I liked this place was snatched from me the very day I came here.I halted in my steps when my gaze fell on the same spot where Nikhil, Rhee, me and that bastard Vivaan stood last time.
How could I forget that spot? After all it was the exact spot I had punched shit out of that Vivaan.
I had acted on my impulse and I was glad I did. He did deserve it.Dismissing the bitter memory I walked toward conference room where Rhee had called me. Now I thought for any the possible reasons one more time I was sure it had nothing to do with work. If it had he could have talked there in his office. He won't have bothered calling me here.
Pushing door handle I entered inside. The room was pitch dark with the very slightest hint of evening twilight coming through the window. My nervousness increased causing my already fast racing heart to hammer hard against my chest.
"Sir?" I called out but it came as an unsteady breath.
No reply came.
My hand instantly went inside my jean pocket to take my phone out to on torch light. The metal body of device made a clattering sound on hitting floor as a hand clasped around my wrists pushing me roughly to the edge of a surface which I assumed to be the glass of round table.
I screamed.
Adrenaline rushed through my body, my heart hammering against my chest hard. The hold on my wrists tightened pinning them on the either side of me on the edge of glass.
Pain shot through my injured left hand which had barely healed in past four days. It stung like hell.I yelped.
"Leave me." I struggled against the rough hold but to no avail.
His broad shoulders and tall height were only things I made out from his silhouette. Besides he was leaning close to me, close enough that I was aware of his breathing. Also his scent was kind of intoxicating, that I feared it could make me feel dizzy.I struggled more to get free, hurting myself in the process. At that moment I didn't care. I couldn't let anyone take advantage of me. Not anyone, no-one.
