Size Doesn't Matter ( A Chouji x Reader Insert)

First Day at the Academy

(Y/n)'s POV  

I woke up feeling a gentle breeze brush against my face and the sound of birds singing outside. I looked over at the clock next to my bed to see what time it was. Sure enough it was was 7:00 am. I hopped out of bed quickly so I could go and get ready for my first day in the Academy. I went to the bathroom to take care all of my hygiene and brush my hair. After that, I quickly made my way into the kitchen to fix up a quick omelet for breakfast so I can make it on time. It took me a few minutes to get completely ready for the morning, but I'm sure I have time to spare! I was about to make my way out of the door before I noticed I was forgetting something. "Oh! I almost forgot my lunch and snacks for later!" I exclaim and run back to the kitchen to grab the boxes and put the snacks inside of my backpack before making my way back to the door. I was greeted by a fresh breeze as soon as I opened the door, and it was quite refreshing. "Alright first day at the Academy lets make a good impression!" I shout out loud to get myself hyped up before making my way over to the Academy.

*Time skip due to an energetic run*

After a few minutes of running, I made it to the Academy with plenty of time to spare. It seemed like nobody was outside at the time because it sure was empty here. 'Maybe everyone is inside?' I thought to myself curiously before making my way inside of the building. After a few minutes of walking I found a classroom where Iruka Sensei was in and decided to make my way inside. "Good morning Iruka Sensei!" I called out as I made my way into the classroom. This caught more than his attention causing a few people to look back at me. I squeaked a bit before covering my mouth. 'M-Maybe I was to loud?' I thought to myself as I felt my heart rate start to increase. "Good morning (Y/n)! You're actually early to class today so feel free to have a seat wherever you like." He explained before looking back into the book in his hand. I nod quickly before making my way down the stairs looking around to see if Naruto or Chouji was here yet.  Sure enough I saw Chouji munching away at his chips in the middle row of the classroom. 'It doesn't seem like Naruto is here yet so I guess I'll take a seat next to Chouji.' I thought to myself as I made my way over to sit next to the pudgy boy. He seemed to be in complete bliss with the chips because it doesn't seem like he noticed me, but the person next to him sure did. He looked up at me with a raised brow, as if he was analyzing me. His hair was tied back in a way that makes me think that it's the tip of a pineapple. He was wearing a gray blouse with a fishnet-like shirt underneath. He also seemed to be wearing some gray pants with your usual ninja sandals on. " I don't recall ever seeing you around the village. You new here?" He asked in a lazy tone. I nodded before taking my seat next to Chouji and leaning forward to speak to the other boy. "Yeah I come from the village of Hikarigakure." I explain to him with a smile on my face. "I see... Well my name is Shikamaru Nara." He introduces himself with a lazy smile. "Nice to meet you Shikamaru! My name is (Y/n)(L/n)." I said giving him a bright smile. There was a loud sound of running coming from the door, causing me to turn around to try and figure out who was causing that noise. Sure enough two girls rushed into the room arguing with each other and sprinted down the stairs to a spot across the room. "Ha! I got here first Ino-Pig!" The pink haired one yelled. "No way I got here first! So move over Billboard Brow!" The blonde yelled in retaliation. I cringed from the constant arguing until the blonde girl gave up and stomped over to the empty space next to me. "Are you new here?" She quickly asked as she looked me over. I did a quick nervous nod before responding. "Yes I actually came from Hikarigakure..." I explain, trying my best to not irritate the girl anymore. She quickly smiled and held out her hand. "Well my name is Ino, Ino Yamanaka! It's a pleasure to meet you!" She beamed a bright smile at me. The sudden change kinda caught me off guard but I still shook her hand. "It's nice to meet you Ino. My name is (Y/n)(L/n)!" I say back as cheery as possible. She took a seat next to me and we had idle chit chat till the class was about to start. "WAIT WHEN DID YOU GET HERE (Y/n)!?" Was suddenly yelled behind me, causing me to jump a bit. I looked over to Chouji who was now was staring at me, wide eyed as if I just suddenly appeared here. "Oh hey Chouji! I was going to let you know I was here but you seem completely taken by those chips you were eating, so I didn't want to be a bother." I explain giving a slightly apologetic smile. He looked down at the almost empty bag and shook his head. "I wouldn't have minded." He says before going back to eating his chips. "Well I'll keep that in mind." I say with an awkward smile on my face before going back to talking with Ino. "You already met Chouji?" She asked tilting her head a bit, causing her bang to slightly shift. "Yeah I was at the store getting food for myself and I met him and Naruto there." I explained. "Wait... You met Naruto?" She asked, seemingly taken back by the statement. I give a quick nod before continuing. "Yeah he seems like a nice person." I say with a calm smile. She signals for me to get closer so she can whisper something in my ear. "Well I would be careful around him. He has a Fox demon inside of him that destroyed the village." She explained. My eyes widened as the vague memory of my Father explaining to me what had happened here and how the monster was sealed away. I never knew it was sealed inside of a human though. She continued to explain to me that everyone in the village shunned him because of that so he doesn't really have a lot of friends. I could feel my heart aching from hearing this and I sadly shook my head. "But that's not his fault..." I mutter before shaking my head. She nods and lets out a sigh. It seems she understands where I'm coming from, but she still keeps her distance. To lighten the mood I tell her a bit about my village and how it was usually just a calm and quiet place where people usually stop by when traveling. I also told her about how I wanted become a strong ninja so I could help others. She explained to me she comes from a clan of ninjas who are professionals at sensory skills and mind reading techniques. I stared in awe as she continued explaining how she want's to become a medical ninja (I can't really tell what the goal was from the wiki but I think I'm right???). "That's really cool Ino!" I exclaim, causing her to smirk confidently before leaning close to me. "So... are there any boys you have your eye on yet?" She asked. My face heated up at the thought of it, causing me to shake my head. "I-I haven't really met anyone that caught my eye yet..." I explain awkwardly. "That's fair enough. At least you aren't after my Sasuke unlike most of the girls here." She huffed out of frustration as I tilt my head. "Who's Sasuke?" I ask looking around, as if I could point out who he was. "He's the handsome black haired boy all the way next to Forehead Girl over there." She grumbled pointing over to the pink haired girl. I try my best to get a good view but all I could see was pink hair swaying back and forth in front of the boy. I gave up on trying to see him and just shrug it off. "Alright everybody, class is about to start. Today's lesson will be practicing the Transformation Jutsu, but before we start that, we have a new student to the class." Iruka Sensei explained before looking over to me and signaling for me to come to the front of the class. I quickly stood up and made my way over to the front of the class. I stood there for a moment before looking around the class to see who was all here. The first thing I noticed is Naruto isn't here. I assume he just has to be in another class or something. I look over to Ino, Chouji and Shikamaru, who were all giving me a thumbs up, except Shikamaru, he seemed to be thinking about something else at the time. I take a deep breath before speaking. "My name i-is (Y/n)(L/n)! I come from the Land of Hikarigakure and I look forward to working with you all!" I say giving a quick bow. Before making my way down I noticed the Sasuke boy that Ino was talking about. I didn't think much of him but did take note that he was kinda glaring at me. 'Maybe that's just his resting face?' I thought to myself as I make my way back to my seat. I felt my face heating up a bit as I began to make my way back up to my seat. I heard a few whispers here and there, but I paid them no mind. "Thank you for introducing yourself (Y/n). Now onto the lesson." Iruka Sensei explained before making his way to the middle of the room to give demonstrations for the Jutsu.
