NEVER REGRET
Third Person POV
Julian go home early because Rina texted him that she left the baby on the house with manang.
His anger towards the woman rose up. How dared her to do that!
When he arrived he heard the cry of her angel. He immediately entered on the House, Manang gives Jiana to him and right after that, she stopped crying.
Manang smiled before leaving.
"You miss Daddy that much? Umm?" Her nose is now red because of crying.
Julian grinned because of Jiana's giggle. So, like a music to his ears.
Minutes past and the 3 months old Jiana started to give a sign of sleepiness.
Julian let her daughter drink milk on the baby bottle, until she closed her eyes.
"Julian pinauwi ko si Iya! Pauwi na sya. Mas mabuti pa ibigay muna sa akin ang bata at ilalagay ko sa kwarto tutal tulog naman na. Bills!" Julian frowned, kissed her daughter's forehead before she passed her to manang.
Little did they know that because they are panicking the baby bottle was left on the sofa.
Nagpunta si Julian sa kwarto nilang mag-asawa at wala pang limang minuto bumukas ang pinto at iniluwa ang Iya, agad syang ginapangan ng kaba pero hindi ipinahalata sa asawa.
"Sucks," I immediately wipe again the tears that streaming on my wife's cheeks.
"I-im okay... Its okay Julian," baby I'm worried! Damn.
"But our baby?" Nakakunot noo kong sabi, pinilit nito na hindi umiyak at hinawakan ang tyan bago hinimas-himas.
"We are fine Daddy. Please continue," My heart is tightening because of her sudden called to me.
"Bye. I'll just refresh my mind for awhile"
I know I need to give her some space and instead of pushing her to me I let her go.
I'm so afraid that she might fall out of love, yet she gave me a reassuring smile.
I borrowed my daughter to Rina so we can bond together.
I don't want to spoil her but damn! Everytime her eyes twinkle for those dolls! I can't help but to buy everything she likes.
"D-daddy uh... Mama might gets mad. You know uh-" At a very young age she knows her limits!
She is mine anyway! She deserved everything I got.
"Don't worry Faith," I smile at her so she wouldn't worry about her mother being mad.
"Up! Up!" Sinilip ko ang anak na nakataas ang dalawang-kamay bago pinangko.
Umarte akong nabibigatan.
"Ang chubby mo na anak" tukso ko. Hinahawi ang bangs na tumatabing sa kanyang magagandang mata.
"Jiana is cute Daddy!" Tumawa na lang ako sa anak na nakanguso.
Naglibot pa kami sa mall maya-maya pa ay nagreklamo na agad ang anak na nagugutom.
Pumasok sila sa Mcdo at hinayaan ang anak na kumain.
"Faith you sure you don't want to buy anything? Umm... Dolls?" Tanong ko habang pinupunasan ang kanyang pisngi at kamay.
"Can I have one only?" Tumango ako sa kanya.
Pagkatapos magbayad ay sabay silang pumasok sa mga nagtitinda ng laruan.
"Daddy I want that one!" Atlast may napili na.
Bigla ay natigilan ako sa nasagi ng aking mga mata. I-iya?
Please Daddy!" Tiningnan ko ang anak na nakakapit sa aking pants.
"Yes baby." Hindi mapakali ang kalooban ko. Natulos na ako sa kinatatayuan na parang hindi na magagawa pang makagalaw.
I heard her say "It's true! Julian" and my World stop spinning again right after she faint.
I rushed her to the nearest Hospital.
Jiana cried beside me and it's not helping! My fear doubled.
"Shh Faith." Pagpapatahan ko kahit ang mata ay nakatutok sa daan.
She didn't stop! Until we reach the Hospital.
Iniwanan ko ang anak sa sasakyan para mabuhat ang asawa na nasa backseat.
The doctor run some test, and as the result my wife is indeed pregnant.
It was the best day of my life. I spend my time with my daughter ... and then I find out there is little one coming but at the same time it was the painful battle I had.
She left.
In so much frustration I became numbed, cold and didn't want to explain.
Jiana was there with me. She light up the darkness that's eating the whole me.
When Iya said: she will try to treat my Jiana as her own! Well that's the best!
"Aww baby such a cute," Nag-iiwas ako ng tingin sa asawa dahil sa nakangisi ito sa akin. Trying to tease me huh?
"I love you Julian," I moved a bit. I put my right hand on her nape and the other one is on her chin.
"Baby... I love you" I said before crushing my lips against her.
I'll never gets tired of her. I'm not perfect but I'm now trying to fulfill the moment that I missed.
My hand traveled on her baby bump.
I let her go so she can exhale some air.
Hinawi ko ang buhok na tumatabing sa kanyang magandang mukha na sinukliaan nya ng isang malaking ngiti.
"Daddy? My?" Sabay kaming napabaling sa anak na nasa tuktok ng hagdanan. Gulo-gulo ang buhok ngunit nakangiti.
Tumayo ako para kuhanin sya sa taas.
"Ang bigat na!"
Dumila lang ito sa akin bago kumawala at tumakbo kay Iya.
Paglapit ko ay nagsusumbong na inaaway ko daw sya.
Hindi pwedeng kumandong kay Iya si Jiana kaya nakaluhod na nakaharap ang anak dito.
"Don't mind your Daddy. Just... Oh touch my belly your sister is kicking!"
I treasured that moment. Well I'm so happy!
I know that in the first place I became this coward ass yet, look is all worth it! Well I regret so many things in life but I never regret having Jiana in our lives. She's our Sunshine! I never regret that I met Rina.
