Four: Prelude

"Hahaha. That was risky but still funny." Eunbi says, talking about Minju's little streak. "So.. What are you guys playing?" Eunbi adds.

We were all seated around this one bottle in the middle of the living room. I thought she would have figured it out by now. "Truth or Dare." Hyewon says, her head resting on her hand on the couch armrest.

"You seem bummed out tonight. What's up with you?" Eunbi asks Hyewon. I look at Hyewon and realized she was staring at me. Once our eyes made contact she snapped out of her trance. "Nothing! I- I'm just tired from swimming." Hyewon says.

"Hah. Sure.." Eunbi says, tilting her head in doubt. "Why did you visit at this hour?" Minju asks. "Actually I was going to your cabin to just hangout but nobody answered the door."

"Yeah. The others all blacked out there. So we decided to just sleep here." Minju explained. We all resumed the game shortly after.

Eunbi sat on the ground in front of the coffee table where the bottle was. Hyewon still sat across from us while Minju and I were bundled up together on the couch. Hyewon, Minju and I were still in our swimwear. I get why Minju and I couldn't change but had no idea why Hyewon was still in hers.

Eunbi spins the bottle, landing on Hyewon. We all waited for her decision— which took an awkwardly long second before she said 'Truth'.

"Hmmm.. I have one." Eunbi says. "I barely know any personal stuff about the girls. Especially their love life. Of course with Minju as the exception...

and Yujin with the mak- I take it back." Minju and I laughed at Eunbi's realization. Hyewon wasn't too amused.

"I never really got to know about Hyewon's. Are you seeing anyone lately? Is there someone you're interested in?" Eunbi asks. Hyewon had her wide open eyes staring at us. We all just stared at her once again. Waiting for her to answer.

"I- I don't like anyone!" Hyewon shouts: which was uncalled for. "Jeez... Why are you so defensive." Eunbi says, suspecting she's hiding something.

"Y'know... Hitomi and I are close too." Eunbi says with a smile. It wasn't friendly for sure. She was teasing her. "I mean.. There's no harm in telling us." Eunbi says, pointing at the crowd.

"Yeah! Who's the lucky guy?" Minju asks, getting interested. She had her elbows on her knees, holding her hands as she starts getting intrigued.

Hyewon hid her face behind her hands. "Someone's shy." Eunbi says, her smile becoming more devious. "Fine!

Eunbi's face filled with a devious smile; like a satisfied food critic. Minju's mouth turns into a donut, awed in shock. "That explains a lot." Minju says. Meanwhile, I just sat there quietly. Observing Hyewon's expression.

The most vulnerable moment a person goes through is when they confess their feelings. Quote me on that.

She was crawled up on the side of her couch. "You could've told me earlier! I could've lent him to you more often." Minju says. I held her hand. "not now." I whispered. Minju nods.
