the dreamies were at a concert, performing. before they started it, they were told that the stage might be a bit slippery so they might have a chance to slip or fall but they still carried on with their performance. everything was going fine, no accidents yet.
nctzens shouting the fanchant while the stage is booming with energy. the dreamies did very well so far, not having a hint of tiredness on their faces even if they danced and sang their songs nonstop. some of the members had closecalls from falling but they managed to cover it up and seem like it didnt happen but minji couldn't do the same thing.
while they were switching positons, minji slipped and fell which earned a gasp from the audience. the boys saw her fall but she quickly got up and carried on like it was nothing but inside she felt so much pain in her ankle. the whole time she was limping and couldn't walk well especially when she felt pain in every step that she took. when they turned back while haechan did his part, jaemin patted her back and tried to tell her to go backstage but she shook her head.
after the song, a staff had come on stage "minji, you need to go backstage. we saw you fall" the staff said "im fine, i swear." she says, trying to hide the fact that it hurts "no you're not. you were limping the whole time, min. just go okay?" haechan says patting her head "but i cant just leave! how about the concert? the fans?" she says, still trying "you're injured but you still care about others. focus on yourself now! the fans will understand and they'll probably want whats best for you, so stop overthinking so much." renjun scolds the girl
"im sorry" she says looking her ankle "theres no need to be sorry. im just worried for you and i cant see you hurting any longer okay? just go backstage, we'll explain everything." renjun gives her a smile "okay well, you can bring 2 members to be with you atleast. the rest can stay here instead." the staff says and the boys look at eachother "me and jeno will go" jaemin says and the other boys nodded. jaemin and jeno helped minji walk backstage while the others went back and explained what was going on and assured them that minji will be fine.
jeno helped minji sit on a chair while jaemin gave her a water bottle. the medics treated her ankle and told her it wasnt anything too serious but she will have to wear an ankle brace for a few weeks. "can i still perform?" minji asks "you can sing, of course but you can't dance for now." one of the medics say making minji sigh as jaemin rubs her back "we can give you a seat on stage then you can sit there the whole time, singing while the boys continue on with their performance" the staff gives an idea "ill do it then" minji says getting up
"are you sure? shouldn't you be getting rest?" jeno says putting a hand on her shoulder "im fine. after the concert, ill get as much rest as you want. i promise." she says smiling at him "okay lets go then!" jaemin says carrying her in bridal style, startling her "atleast give me a warning yeah?" minji says as she holds onto his neck for support, making him chuckle. "next time, carry me" jeno says nudging jaemin's shoulder earning a laugh from both of them.
