"do you guys know where my hoodie went?" jeno says as he walked into the livingroom, all of them bunched up on the couch watching a movie "nope" chenle says while the others shaked their heads
"minji did you take it?" jeno asks and minji shakes her head "maybe she did, shes the hoodie thief in this household" jisung jokes and minji sighs "i didnt but i think you left it in the practice room yesterday" minji says while jeno furrows his eyebrows in confusion
"i did?" jeno asks and minji nodded "i can get it for you if you want" minji says as she stands up "wait no, its fine" jeno says, trying to stop her "its alright, i was gonna go to the practice room today" minji then wore her shoes and grabbed her phone
"okay, thanks min" jeno gives her an eyesmile as she smiles back "ill be back in a few!" she says loudly for them to hear "dont come home!" renjun jokes making her sigh "i wont!" minji chuckles as she heard jaemin scold the boy to not joke around like that.
she locked the door before she proceeded to walk to the building where their practice room was located. minji greeted the staff as she walked in and went to look for the room "the lights are on?" she says, opening the door to see a boy practicing
"oh sorry" minji apologizes as she startled the boy, bowing "oh- its okay, please dont bow" he says, stopping her "are you a trainee?" minji asks and he shakes his head "im one of the new members of nct" he says as minji's eyes widen
"wait, really?" she says and he nods "ahh~ ive heard about us having new members, welcome to the family!" minji says, giving him a smile "thank you, im sungchan by the way" he says, bowing his head a bit
"sungchan? as in jung sungchan?" minji says, his name seeming somewhat familiar "yeah, how did you know?" he asks, slightly confused "werent you my classmate? we studied in the same school!" minji says excitedly
she wasnt expecting the new member being an old classmate "wait- minji?" he asks, finally getting it "yeah! you remember me right?" minji says and he nods "i havent seen you in so longgg" minji says, pulling him in a friendly hug
"what happened to selling ice cream for a living?" sungchan jokes as minji hit his shoulder playfully"yah, we dont talk about that" minji says making sungchan laugh "you were really determined though" he jokes again
minji gives up and rolling her eyes instead "anyways what were you practicing?" she asks, changing the subject "i was just trying to learn different dances of nct" he says, walking over to the music player
"ooh~ which one?" minji looks around, remembering what she came for "ridin, how about you? what'd you come here for?" he asks as he looks for ridin in the playlist "i came here to get jeno's hoodie, he left it here" minji spots a grey hoodie in the corner and grabs it
"would you like me to help you practice? i can teach you the steps" she says as she folds the hoodie and places it on the ground where they would place their water bottles "no its fine, you're probably tired" he says and minji shakes her head
"ill help you, i was gonna practice here all day anyway" she says and sungchan gives her a smile when someone opened the door "oh- im sorry for interrupting" a boy says, bowing to apologize "oh no, its okay" minji says and looks over at the two of them
"are you a new member of nct too?" she asks and the boy nods "my name is shotaro" he says while minji noticed he was a bit shy "im minji! i think you guys know eachother?" minji says and they both nod
"yeah, we met earlier and we're supposed to practice together" sungchan says and all shotaro could do was nod since he was shy "oh okay, ill help you guys then!" she says and sungchan started the music to show minji how much they already know
minji was shocked since they danced so well and she helped them learn parts of the choreography which they had trouble with or didnt know yet. during practicing, minji observed shotaro and noticed he was a bit confused or lost
"are you fluent in korean?" minji asks and shotaro shakes his head "no, im from japan" he says and minji's eyes widen "ohh, really? i can speak japanese if you'd like" minji says in japanese, surprising shotaro
"ah, yes please. thank you" he says, showing her his little eyesmile "your japanese is really good" he says making minji smile "oh? thanks, i only know a bit because im still learning" she says and they continued on with the choreo
minji switched to speaking japanese if shotaro couldn't understand and as time passed by while they practiced, they got comfortable with eachother, created a little friendship and learned a little about themselves.
minji ended up treating them with food that she ordered for them to eat and said their goodbyes afterwards "aw man, you came home" renjun says, as she looks over to minji who just got home
"what a surprise yeah?" minji says sarcastically making renjun chuckle "did you find it?" jeno says and minji nods "yeah here, better put that thing in the laundry" she says, throwing the hoodie to jeno
"thanks minjii" he says, ruffling her hair "why did you take so long?" chenle says as he watches her drink a glass of water from the kitchen "i met the new members and helped them with choreo" she says making their eyes widen
"wait what?" jisung says, confused "you didnt know?" minji says, tilting her head "no?" jisung says and minji chuckles "i guess taeyong didnt tell you guys" minji says as she places the empty glass in the sink
"well? tell us about them!" jaemin says excitedly. the rest of the night the boys listened to minji as she talked about the new members making them excited to have 2 new members to their team

⸙ have you guys seen shotaro and sungchan's teaser photos PLSKSNSN ok but ive seen some people hating on them and that is very not cool >:(
people have been hating on them bc they dont like the idea of having added members when its literally the main concept of nct ???
