THE CAR RIDE HOME COULD HAVE BEEN CLASSIFIED AS A DISASTER—especially seeing as it took Lara Jean almost punching EJ's friends in the face so that she could leave the school parking lot.

As it turns out, someone had told EJ about the letter that Ricky had given to Lara Jean and he wasn't too pleased about her dating Nini's ex so a confrontation seemed like his only solution to the problem.

Normally Lara Jean would be happy to resolve their issues, but having all of his water polo pals hanging out at her car, catcalling and teasing her wasn't the right idea. No, it wasn't the right idea at all.

She wanted to call up Ricky and let him know what happened to her. After all, this could be a problem for them both. Yet the teenage girl was reluctant to whip out her phone and shoot him a quick text or leave him a voicemail letting him know what happened to her today.

Assuming that it would be best to tell him tomorrow. The two had already dealt with a lot of problems today. The last thing she wanted was to stress Ricky more by letting him know that EJ and his friends basically harassed her.

Besides, she could deal with those problems herself.

"Stupid fucking boys, fucking assholes, bastards, jerks!" Lara Jean angrily muttered under her breath as she opened the front door to her home, kicking off her shoes and throwing her car keys in the little chestnut box that was on the coffee table close by the entrance of the home.

All she wanted to do right now was to go upstairs, flop in her bed and listen to some Buzzfeed Unsolved episodes to make her feel better.

"Wow, someone's in a good mood," Kitty's voice echoed as she looked to see her older sister with a flushed red face.

The younger Covey sister was sitting on the couch, with a book in her hands, content and eager to pester her sister who was in a troubling mood. Her light brown hair was pulled back into two braids that tumbled down her shoulders, her glasses perched on the bridge of her nose as she patiently awaited for her sister to say something to her. Little Women could wait, she had been dying to pester Lara Jean the moment she came home.

"What are you doing here? I thought school didn't finish for you until another half hour," Lara Jean hissed as she made her way over and plopped down on the couch right beside her sister.

As much as the raven-haired girl wanted to go up into her "fortress of solutide" and listen to Ryan and Shane talk about D.B Cooper or the Goatman, she knew just as well that Lara Jean needed to spend a little bit of quality time with her sister.
