Number Five sat in front of Luther. His hands on his knees as they stare at each other. At the back of Five's mind Juniper's name screamed at him...urging him to worry about her right now. But he had to tell Luther what's going to happen.
"When's it supposed to happen?" The big man asks. "This...apocalypse."
"I can't give you the exact hour, but from what I could gather, we have four days left." Five explains.
"Why didn't you say something sooner?"
"It wouldn't have mattered."
"Of course it would. We could've banded together and helped you try and stop this thing."
Five sighed, "for the record, you already tried."
"What do you mean?"
Five thought back to the future, the broken Academy, the rubble fallen on top of his siblings...on top of Juniper...the eye...
"I found all of you. Your bodies."
"We die?'
"Horribly. You were together, trying to stop whoever it was that ends the world." Five said solemnly.
"Wait, how do you know that?"
Five took out the wrapped eye. "This was clutched in your dead hand when I found you." He says and tossed to to Luther.
"Must've ripped it out of their head right before you went down."
"Who's head?"
"Like I said, I don't know."
"Well, there's a serial number on the back. Think maybe you could try—"
"No, that's a dead end. It's just another hunk of glass." Luther hands Five back the eye just as Diego comes rushing in, a scared Juniper follows behind. As Diego immediately goes for Five, anger laced with each step he took, only for Luther to told him back.
Juniper is quick to go straight to Five, The Boy not hesitating to grab her in his arms. Her head rests in the crook of his neck as Luther tells Diego to calm down. Five didn't pay attention to his brothers, he looked to juniper, "are you okay....where have you been?" He asks though Luther interrupts. Five looks to him, annoyed.
"Now, you wanna tell us what you're talkin' about?" Luther asks Diego.
"Our brother's been pretty busy since he got back." Diego says looking at Five. "He was in the middle of that shootout at Gritty's, and then at Gimble Brothers, after the guys in masks attracted the Academy, looking for him."
"None of which is any of your concern." Five dismisses as he holds a shaking Juniper.
"It is now. They just killed my friend. Not to mention kidnaped June."
