It's been a week since the incident, I saw her, she didn't look the same, she didn't look happy, I've been talking with the judge for a way to get her back, he said the only way is for her current legal parents to disown her, I hope she's doing everything she can to piss them off.
We were sitting around the kitchen, all a bit glum, it's been more than a month since she's come home. Sodapop hasn't been his cheery self, Ponyboy hasn't been doing as well in school but I know he's trying, Princess used to always help him with his homework, she's the smartest out of all of us and wants to be a doctor. She punches anyone that says a girl can't be a doctor.
I smile at the thought of her.
All three of us hear the front door open then slam closed, we all frown and go into the next room to see if there's an intruder.
