"Okay students, I know it is a big day. However, I will request that you stay calm so that we can figure out where your soulmates are and get everything sorted out neatly." Mr. Weatherbee says as the class all threw paper, girls squealed and guys teased them. "Or you can just ignore me."
"Mr. Weatherbee, does this arrangement respect a person's LGBT preferences?" Cheryl Blossom asks.
    "Yes, Miss Blossom."
Cheryl smiled and turned back to Betty and Veronica. "So, who do you think yours is?" She asks them.
    "Archie." Betty smiles.
"Probably Chuck Clayton, with my luck." Veronica slumps back in her seat. "I mean, my parents were enemies and they still torture each other."
"At least they love each other, my parents don't even sleep in the same bedroom." Cheryl sighs.
"Who do you want yours to be?" Betty asks Cheryl.
    "Josie."
Betty nods and smiles over at Archie, who waves back at her. "Archie and I have a plan for when we get matched up. We're going to leave Riverdale. Leave behind all the people who mock me and humiliate me."
"What about that guy who said up for you? Archie never did that." Cheryl points out.
    "I don't even know him."
"I'm just saying, they're putting together people who will procreate well and have similar personalities. Despite my parent's lack of love, they still are very similar and have a hot daughter. Isn't that guy like, head of the newspaper. You and Archie have like, nothing in common."
"I guess, but he is the only guy I know, so it has to be him."
"What about all the guys on the football team who torture you?" Veronica asks. "That's a possibility."
"Okay, now that everyone is here, we will begin. Thank you, for deciding to join us, Mr. Jones." Mr. Weatherbee rolls his eyes, staring at his tablet. "Okay, first off...oh, wow. Ethel Muggs and Chuck Clayton."
    "Oh, poor Ethel," Cheryl says.
    "Josie Mccoy and Archie Andrews."
Cheryl rubs Betty's hand soothingly. "Sorry babe."
"I'm sorry too." Betty gives her a sad smile.
    "Sweetpea Connor and...huh, Veronica Lodge."
"Kevin Keller and Fangs Fogarty. Toni Topaz and Cheryl Blossom." Cheryl's eyes widen.
"Okay, so two out of three of us are with Serpents so far...great." She sighs, sarcastically.
Me. Weatherbee went through all of the names until he finally reached the bottom of the list.
"Finally, Elizabeth Cooper and Jughead Jones. You must all find your partner and figure everything out. Your parents do not know your soulmate, but they have arranged living quarters and a wedding. Your decision to have children is up to you, however highly recommended. I hope you are satisfied with the government's decision."
"Told you." Cheryl whispers to Betty. "I'll see you guys later. Topaz awaits." She scoffs and walks over to Toni's table where they immediately start arguing. Sweet pea runs over to Veronica and hugs her.
"Finally, someone got matched with someone they wanted to be with." Betty giggles.
She feels a light tap on her shoulder and spins around to see Jughead. "Hey, Betty." He smiles lightly.
    "Hey." She breathes.
