1 year later
"Juggie, is it alright if I go to Ronnies?"
"Of course baby, just be home for dinner, I'm making burgers."
"Okay, love you."
"Love you too." He says, kissing her.
Betty gets to Veronicas. She is greeted by Veronica and Cheryl.
"Ready?" Veronica asks.
"No, I got my period?"
"Let's just check. Josie had her period when she was pregnant. Poor thing."Betty gets home that night and has dinner with her husband in silence. He sits down on the couch and Betty lays her head in his lap. He plays with her hair and looks down at her, concerned.
"What's wrong baby?"
"Nothing."
"Do you need to cry. I told you to stop holding it in."
"No, I'm fine." Betty says, with tears falling down her face.
"Alright, well, I can feel your tears through my pants, so...you don't have to tell me what's wrong, but I want to help you."
"I don't want to talk about it. It sounds dumb."
"You know I don't think anything you say is dumb."
"I got my period."
"Well, that's not dumb."
"But Cher and Ronnie told me that Josie got hers so I checked and I'm not." She cries.
"Baby, you have to be more specific."
"I'm not pregnant."
"Oh." He pulls her up to face him. "That is not stupid. But if you want to start trying for a baby we can."
"Really?" She sniffles
"Of course, we've been married for almost a year and a half. I'll go to the store and get some ice cream and we can watch a movie, okay? I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault. But honestly, I already started loving that baby."
"I know, but we'll have a baby soon, okay? We can start trying whenever you want."
"I don't feel like ice cream right now, how about popcorn?"
"Okay, I'll go pick some up from the movie theatre, I know that's your favourite."
"Thanks, babe." Betty smiles, kissing him.
"Anything for you."
