JJ and I were walking around, JJ more being on the careful side of things as if Mrs Crain was going to jump him at any second. A bird had flew by making JJ duck fast looking around and I'd just stand there laughing which made him glare at me. I hear a text tone making me frown turning around to see JJ frowning as well.
"Well don't look at me." JJ says putting his hands up, I pulled out my phone seeing texts coming in, "How the hell do you even have service?"
"I don't have a clue." I said unlocking my phone to see the texts were from Rafe, I pursed my lips as I opened them.
Rafe
Leah, can we talk
Can you talk to me please?
I came by the house but your folks said they haven't seen you, where are you?
Look what I said and what I did was a dick move okay, I'm sorry
I love you Leah, I always have.
"Who is it?" JJ asked snapping me out of my head as I cleared my throat looking up at him, I pocketed my phone.
"It's nothing," I said turning to keep walking but JJ quickly grabs my arm making me look at him.
"You okay?"
"Its really nothing." I said shrugging my shoulders and he raises an eyebrow making me purse my lips, "It was from Rafe."
"Oh."
"Yeah, oh."
"Hey, psst!" I hear and I looked to see John B waving us over, "Hey, come on. It's the only place we haven't looked."
"We better get going." JJ says walking off without another word and I wanted to headbutt a knife.
Why couldn't I have just told him? There was nothing for me to hide what Rafe messaged me and I know Rafe had probably been high texting me, I knew that much and it hurt. I don't think any more on it as I walked over to the group seeing them all near the house.
John B had pushed a small door that led to underneath the house, well all followed after him with our flashlights and I got in last making sure nobody was around. Not like anyone was going to be here. We kept walking in and I saw everything was covered in dust, making me sneeze.
"Down came Mrs Crain and cut off all our heads." JJ starts to sing to the melody of itsy-bitsy spider, "Up came the sun and dried up all the blood-,"
"Can you stop?" Pope says, turning around to look at Pope before looking at me, "Make him stop, please."
"JJ stop, for the sake of everyone here." I said looking at him and he points his flashlight at me.
"Stop what?"
"You're blinding me for one and two, you're scaring the shit out of Pope."
"For the record I'm not scared, I'm just being aware." Pope says shrugging his shoulder making me snicker as I walked over patting his shoulder as I nodded sarcastically before walking to where John B and Kie were.
"See any water?" Kie asked looking at us and I go to answer but I sneezed, shaking my head as I covered my nose, "You alright?"
"Just the dust." I said as I kept sneezing, I hear a buzz before it landed on my neck making me slap it hissing out in pain, "Great not only is my hay fever kicking in but there are mosquitos down here."
"Another dead end?"
"There's not even water in the pipes." JJ says, running his hands along the pipes.
"There's no water." Pope says, sighing and I went to say something but I sneezed again. My head was getting sore from sneezing, giving me whiplash the amount of times I was.
