"Your mum's taking you where?" Kie asked looking at me about to laugh and I give her a deadpanned look.
"I'm not repeating myself." I said turning around to look at my closet full of clothes, I was looking for something to wear out of lunch today.
"I can't believe you're going to have lunch at the club. Why aren't you guys just going to the Wreck?"
"How should I know Kie? Plus it was a last minute invite."
"Then you're going to have to go full Kook."
"Over my dead fucking body. The day that happens I'll be in my death bed." I said turning to her before pursing my lips, "Fuck it, I'm wearing whatever."
"We better get going anyway. We're testing the rover thing today." Kie says getting up from my bed as there was a knock on the door before opening it to see it was my mum.
"Hey- woah, what's happened here?" She says looking around to see clothes being chucked everywhere making Kie snort.
"Just Rory not knowing what to do with her life." Kie says smirking making me roll my eyes as I looked at her.
"I was just trying to see what I could wear today. You know seeing as I've never once gone and actually had lunch at a Club before or ever in my life."
"I told you, you didn't have to worry about what you were wearing."
"I just assumed you said that to be nice." I said shrugging my shoulders making my mum laugh.
"I'm sure whatever you have will be fine."
"I highly doubt that." Kie comments making my mum laugh again while I stood there pursing my lips, "I don't think we've formally met, I'm Kiara."
"Oh yes, I remember you from the house yesterday. I'm Gabriella."
"I'm sorry about your dad. He's a really awesome dude."
"That I am." Papa says coming at my door with a smirk on his face, "You're too kind Kie."
"We should get going before Papa's head gets any bigger than it already is." I said making everyone laugh, I walked out of the room with Kie in tow. I kissed my grandfather on the cheek before walking out.
"Bye Papa Tony. It was nice meeting you Gabriella." Kie says waving to them and they waved us off.
"Remember to be back before 2 Rory." My mum calls out to me and I turned on my heel to face her.
"I'll only be gone for 30 minutes if that. I'll go there and be back again." I said making her smile, I turned on my heel as we kept walking out of the house.
"How come you didn't call her mum?" Kie says once we were further away from the house making me snort looking at her.
"What?"
"You heard me."
"I don't know, it feels kind of weird and I don't want to force it. Look this is new to me, not even a week ago I couldn't look her in the eyes and now I'm going out to lunch with her."
"How are you feeling about it?"
"Well there isn't much I can do is there. My grandfather is dying so I guess I'm stuck with her."
"Rory..." She says and I could already hear the sad tone in her voice making me clear my throat.
"I still can't believe you guys went and stole this fucking thing." I said changing the subject and Kie gets the hint snickering.
"It wasn't easy. JJ almost got caught."
"That doesn't surprise me."
"Speaking of JJ, have you two spoken?"
