"I don't care how you make it happen, Clarke. Kill Octavia if you have to," Diyoza said. "Bring her to me in chains, and I'll do it for you. Or she can surrender herself, but your red queen doesn't seem like the type."

Clarke's eyes went to Bellamy's face, which was grim. "Let us worry about that."

"We have an understanding, then." Diyoza waited for Clarke to answer.

"We do," the blonde girl stated.

"Good. Call me back when it's done, and we can work out the details of your crossing. Over and out."

I looked at Bellamy when he spoke. "No way."

"Bellamy--" Clarke tried, but the boy cut her off.

"We are not killing my sister, Clarke. I don't care how crazy she is." Bellamy took the walkie from Clarke and handed it to Monty. "Run the loop. The rover's charged. We're getting our friends." I pursed my lips as Bellamy and Harper began packing a bag. Monty connected the walkie to the computer. "That was reckless. We had a plan. You agreed."

"That was before Octavia made Madi her second," Clarke argued. I furrowed my eyebrows as I looked at the girl. Octavia made Madi her second? "That army marches to war as soon as they find out the eye is down. I can't let that happen."

"So we don't tell anyone?" Harper asked

Monty shook his head. "They'll know as soon as we drive away."

"Oh, who cares? We grab Madi, and we go," Bellamy said.

"Bellamy, she's by her side."

"I think we may need a better plan, you guys," I muttered as I rubbed a hand along my face.

"She's my sister, Clarke," Bellamy stated, shaking her head.

"I know. Tell me what else to do."

"We stop the war?" Monty blurted.

I looked at him, confused. "How?"

I watched as he bent over and grabbed a container of algae from his bag. "Algae."

I heard Bellamy scoff. "Monty--"

"Cooper already gave me permission to show what it can do," Monty interrupted, his eyes darting between the rest of us. "She's meeting me before the afternoon meal so I can take her to the--"

"That's enough," Bellamy said as he snatched the container from Monty. I gave him a look.

"Bellamy."

"Hey, give it back," Monty exclaimed, but Harper cut him off.

"Monty, Bellamy's right. Cooper's worse than Octavia. No offense." Bellamy tossed the container of algae back to Monty, who caught it. "Besides, the first batch put Murphy in a coma for almost a week. By the time it's ready to eat--"

"The first culture and we're not gonna eat it this time," the boy explained. "We're gonna feed it to the plants. If I can make the farm viable again, then we'll still have a chance."

Just then, the door opened revealing some of Octavia's men and Octavia herself, Cooper and Miller not far behind her. The girl walked into the room, looking at the computer on the table. "The spy did her job?"

No one said a word as Octavia looked at us. Bellamy took a step forward and spoke. "Uh, we were just about to send for you. Told you Echo would get it done."

"Can the enemy still see us?" Octavia asked Monty, who turned to the computer as he answered.

"For now, yes. It's technical, but--
