                                                                                [ Brooklyn ]

Ugh. I hate morning subjects. Especially when what you have for first period is a major subject. Well, I guess that's what you get for being in the smartest class in the level.

The class became quiet as Professor Crawford entered the room. Some are also wondering what I had in mind.

'Why is Professor Crawford here?'

His subject isn't our first period.

"Hello and good morning Class A, I know you're wondering why I'm here. That's because I have arranged an exchange period with your English teacher because she has a seminar to attend this morning. I've come to fetch you and you'll be joining Class C for a temporary merge", Prof. Crawford explained.

Half of the class was complaining, half are already excited. Most of the excited people are the girls who just want to see their crushes snd maybe try to flirt. Yuck.

"No complains. Grab your things and we'll head to the lab... By the way, your lab partners today will be from Class C", he said while ushering some students to go outside. I picked up my things also and went outside.

I was suddenly nervous that maybe I'd be alone for today's project, considering that I think I don't know anyone from Class C.

Oh wait, Travis and Carter are from that class...

We were already outside the lab and then Prof. Crawford went inside.

"Class C, you will be very lucky people today because your lab partners today are from Class A", I heard him explain to his students inside.

"Woohoo!"

"Yes!"

"Higher grade!"

"Less thinking!"

People cheered from inside. Are we really this much of a life saver here? Class C is the third section based on, well- brains. And I believe they are the people who are super smart, but just too lazy to think.

We went inside as Prof. Crawford said, "Well go partner up!"

I immediately thought about Travis, but I remembered he was already going out with Sandy. And they'll most likely be partners today.

I gazed around to see if there was anyone else without a partner then I saw a dark haired guy sitting alone at a table.

I think Lawrence is his name.

I went to him and I asked, "Hey. Uhm... Do you have a partner?"

I think he didn't notice me. But I did notice that he seems to be staring at Brooklyn.

"Hey. Lawrence right? Do you have a partner?" I asked again and tapped his shoulder and now gave his attention to me.

"Uhm. Yes... I mean, no... Yep. No", he said nervously.

"Can I be your partner then?" I asked. Still noticing him throwing quick glances at Brooklyn.

"Sure. But what about Travis?" He asked. Travis and I were best friends since we were kids, and sometime before Travis and Sandy started going out, we still stick to each other if ever activities requiring partners are assigned.
