The cycle went on.
Wake up. Dress up. School. Study. Home. Sleep.
For days, not a single night had come to pass that you didn't dreamt about Koushi. Oddly enough, since the day you met him, it seemed to you that life isn't as tough as you used to view it.
Nothing had changed so much to be honest, but maybe it's because you've been always looking forward on your little rendezvous with him, that it made you somewhat neglect all the problems that you usually couldn't stop brooding on and keep weighing you down.
His calming presence and consoling nature alone made a huge impact on you. To be honest, happiness is something you never thought you would ever feel after being under the same old depressing, darkened clouds for who knows how long, and yet here you are...
Jovially smiling to yourself again, like you've always been living the best of your life.
"Alright, does anyone know the answer to this problem?" Mrs. Kyoshi's rigid, feminine voice brought you back to the present time, pointing at the question number 2 written on the board.
A couple of students raised their hands, the certain ones who were usually active in class, especially in oral discussions. The teacher sighed, seeing it's them again as she drag her bored, half-lidded eyes to scan the rest of the class. "Seriously, is there any other students aside from them?"
Giving the pencil sketch of Koushi that occupies you for a few minutes while your mind drift away a last glance, you carefully rip it and neatly fold in four rectangles then slip it inside your skirt's pocket.
You flip your notebook back to the previous page where your whole equation were scribbled that you already finished solving long ago before you ever let yourself get drown into your own thoughts lately.
Breathing in, you summon all the courage and every bits of confidence you have in you body, swallowing your saliva hardly down to your dry throat and dared yourself to raised your hand.
Kyoshi's brows perked up, seeing a new hand have been lifted, aside from the usual students she only interacts with for the whole, and every class session she had. "Oh? What about you Ms. L/N, what's the answer?" she motioned her hands on you.
Slowly standing from your seat, you briefly look at your notebook just to double check and make sure that you wouldn't mess this up, then back to the platinum haired teacher. "The answer is 2.192171 or 2.20, ma'am."
It may not seem like to visibly show much, but you were sure how amusement crossed her face for a brief second. "Well done. The correct answer is 2.192171 or 2.20. You may take your seat now, L/N."
You couldn't help but to let a grin to creep up to your features, feeling really proud of yourself and accomplished as you lower down back to your chair.
Jiyo peered over her shoulder, giving you a subtle thumbs up, though her indifferent expression remained still. Appreciating her little effort of acknowledgement, you return back small gesture.
The majority of the class have surprised faces, though you were sure that it was laden with happiness. It's not only you that were proud of your improvement, but they were for you as well.
Although, not all of them have the same mutual feeling since certain two apart from the rest, rather have envy and repugnance seething within them as they regard you with a spiteful glare behind your back.
As the discussion continued to occur, you make sure to participate by answering in every chance you've got, not intending to miss any of it.
Much to your happiness, every attempt to answer you made ends up being the right solution. The usual stoic teacher even gave you a compliment, boosting your once non-existent self-esteem that were now slowly building up.
