To start your day that you hope that will turn great just like any other, a bright smile were plastered on your face as you tread down towards the kitchen counter.

"Good morning, mom." you warmly greeted your mother lounging on the dining table, a small pile of paper laid next to her that she's busy working on. An eyeglasses resting on her nose bridge.

Despite hearing your voice, she didn't even bother to give you a glance and just continue scribbling still on the documents she's too concentrically filling up.

Brushing off the cold shoulder, you got yourself a plain plastic bowl, a spoon, and other essentials from the cabinet. Pouring the remaining contents of the cereal box and then followed by the milk afterwards.

Hands loaded with your cold bowl of breakfast, you sat across from your mother, smile displayed still. Scooping the wet yet crunchy food, you took a spoonful of it.

"Mom, I was actively participating in my classes these days." you began between your careful, slow chews. Swallowing the grinded food, you carry on with your story. "Mrs. Kyoshi said I'm doing great."

Just like your first attempt, she still didn't bother to spare you even a short, mere glimpse. Her eyes never moving away from her work. To put it simply, your mom's ignoring you, but your tiny bit of persistence wouldn't give up.

"She's usually all stoic and indifferent, but guess what I managed to do, mom? I made her smile! She even complimented me---"

"Y/N!" she snapped, whipping her head up away on the papers to send a vicious glare on your way while gripping the pen, causing you to pause. "Can't you just shut up?! You're so damn annoying! I don't fucking care, okay?!"

Harshly ripping the eyewear from her eyes, she tuck it on the collar of her shirt and gather her things in a huff before stomping out of the room, her heavy footsteps still lingering on your ears as you were left there alone, dumbfounded.

Your widened eyes dropped down on the loaded plastic bowl, staring lostly on your soaked soggy food, floating in a leisure manner on the milk.

Lips tightening as you pressed them together, you suck in an air, exhaling them out very slow and shakily, doing your best to contain the emotions that were trying to surface.

You coerced yet another bright smile, remembering the only one that brings you hope everytime you think of him, in attempt to not let the mood of your entire day go downhill just because of this deploring event.

'It's okay! It's nothing I should be sad and depressive about! I have Koushi-kun that is really proud of me!'

"11.19 is the answer, ma'am." you read what was the outcome of your solution out loud to the class, though you were a little quiet confident this time.

Hearing it, you receive a quick assenting nod from your teacher in exchange. "Correct. You may now take your seat, Ms. L/N." she told you, a miniscule smile dancing in her lips.

The reaction you got was more than enough to fuel your growing self-esteem as you sink back down to your chair, grinning to yourself over the feeling of accomplishment.

Grey eyes looking over her shoulder, Jiyo playfully wiggled her eyebrows on you, in which you just simply chuckled to, really at loss of reply on her gesture and focus again back to the lesson.
