'Now, now. What are we doing looking for trouble on a crowded street on a school day?' A familiar voice said smoothly.

He found me. It wasn't such a bad thing but I had a bad feeling about this.

For someone who was disrupting the general direction of the crowd's flow, no one really minded his presence.

'Dipper?'

I turned around to see him dragging me off the jam-packed street. 'I've been looking for you everywhere!' I exclaimed happily at him, 'I just really wanted to clarify what was going on.'

'And what is going on?' Dipper asked tonelessly, I couldn't tell whether he was being sarcastic or not. He continuedg to bustle through the people, he crossed the road all of a sudden without even looking left or right. I blindly followed and didn't even bother to check the cars coming straight at me. Many drivers beeped and honked at me, but Dipper dragged me away so fast I couldn't stop in the middle of the street.

You'd be fascinated by the amount of people going shopping on a weekday, because I sure was.

'Well, I was only thinking to find you, but you already appeared in front of my own eyes!' I chimed, still being pulled forward by Dipper. He tugged me into a park by the side of town. I knew I'd never get back to school in time. I had better things to think about. Would Gideon or Cody be worried about me at all? I did promise Cody I'd find out the truth with him.

'And why would I do that?' Dipper smirked, letting go of my wrist. I rubbed it, trying to soothe the pain away. My shoulders dropped and my mouth opened slightly. Do that? He said it like he wasn't the one who did it.

'What do you mean? You literally disappeared?' I contested, raising my voice a little.

'Me? Disappear? Well, my dearest Pacifica. I don't ever recall disappearing in front of you. Unless you believe in that witches and wizards bullshit.' Dipper spat out his last sentence like it was the cruelest of insults.

I instinctively rubbed my temple with a finger and was about to defend myself before he started to talk again.

'Pacifica, I am not one to declare others crazy, but you sound absolutely delusional right now.'

'What? Me? Delusional? No!' I shouted back at him, uncertain if there were people in the park.

'Listen to yourself, does anything you say make sense?' Dipper grinned from ear to ear.

Nothing made sense, obviously, and it was clear to everyone that such things as magical powers or witches don't exist, so why would Dipper be able to teleport or disappear from one place to another. It must have been my memory lagging, or just my eyes deceiving me.

'Well... not really.' I frowned, and winced backwards.

'Alright then, if you are no longer needing my services then I bid you adieu.' Dipper tipped an 'air' cap to me and waded off.

'But we just got here? And school's already started,' I clicked my phone on and it was already half an hour past school time. It was only 1 and a half hours left of school time, there was really no point of me going back. 'Dipper, you know this place well right? I know you said you've been homeschooled but I mean, you still live here? Right?' I chirped.

'Literally speaking, yes. Objectively speaking, no. I would hate to ruin your afternoon with my presence.' Dipper stopped and turned back, putting his hands on his hips and pretending to think.

'Oh you know better than to say that. And come on, you're my friend, why would you ruin my afternoon?'

'Friends? Since when?' Dipper spat out, his eyes widened so much you'd have thought they would pop out any second.

'Ermm, since yesterday?'

Dipper remained quiet, what was wrong? Had he never heard someone refer to him as a friend?

'You're not denying it, We can go get some food, we can have a picnic of some sort.'

I stood there, waiting for Dipper's reply. He gave thought to the matter, looking up into the sky as if that would give him better answers or advice. I lost him for a minute, until he said, quite offhandedly: 'I'm game, let's do that.'

I waved a thumbs up and waited for him to catch up to me. I linked my arm into his, since we'd been friends for what, two days? And that's much longer than any other friend I have here, other than Gideon, but he's family. That's different.

Dipper's eyes bulged, and I mean bulged. His eyes travelled frantically between my face and my arm, interlocked with his. Once he saw my face, concerned and worried, he stopped tensing up, and accepted the fact that I would link hands with him.

I'm not quite sure what he was thinking of? Was it so wrong to just link arms?

We returned to the park's gate with a handful of items to find out it was closed.

'What sad person closes parks?' I looked back at Dipper who just shrugged, not knowing any more than I did.

'I don't know. Too bad then. We can always go to the docks again.'

'Sure.' I replied, thinking back to the first time I met him on my birthday.

So we walked, food on hand, back to the docks. Maybe this was good, maybe I could find out more about him.

And I thought I was weird.

He's definitely weirder.
