"Akaaaammmmsshhhiiiiiiii...."

A tired and slumped over Bokuto whined. You rolled your eyes as you yawned. Akaashi was supporting Bokuto as you three all walked home. Akaashi usually walked you home when you helped him with practice. Sometimes he did it just because. Akaashi was always there for you. It was nice to know he was there for you.

"Bokuto-san, please. Get a hold of yourself."

Akaashi slightly pushed Bokuto off of his shoulder. Bokuto groaned and whined a bit more. Oh how he just wanted to be carried. His legs hurt. His arm hurt. His nose was cold. You name it, he complained about it. You sigh and smirk at Akaashi. He only glared at you. Bokuto had asked to come with you guys to walk you home. He lived a few miles away from you so, it wasn't that big of a deal.

"Akaashi?"

"Hm?"

"Dad isn't gonna be home for a while. Can I stay with you and your family here and there?"

He looked confused for a second before nodding and saying that you never had to ask if you wanted to stay over. Bokuto stuck his head in between the two of you.

"Are you guys going to have a sleepover without me?!"

Akaashi blushed profusely and shook his head.

"No! No, Bokuto-san! We're just friends! Nothing more, nothing less!"

"That! Bokuto! Please!"

"Awwww, come on!! Please let me join in! Please!!"

Akaashi huffed and sighed, giving in to Bokuto's constant chants. You looked at Akaashi, hoping he wasn't doing what you thought he was doing.

"Only if your parents and my parents say you can stay over."

Bokuto cheered, gaining a burst of energy. He skipped ahead and whooped, pumping his fists in the air. You look at Akaashi, almost in fear.

"Why did you say that?!"

Akaashi looked at you surprised.

"I thought you'd like the company. Bokuto has a way with getting people to open up and be comfortable around him. You need that in your life. So do I. It'll be good for the both of us."

He gave you a soft smile and ruffled your hair.

"Come now. We're almost at your place, pack a bag to stay over. We'll wait in the living room."

You nodded and gave in. Maybe you did need some one like Bokuto in your life.

"Akaashi..?"

He gave you his full attention.

"Thanks..for everything."

His eyes widened slightly. A smile smile tugged at his lips as he pulled you in for a side hug.

"Don't worry about it too much."

He replied as you got to your place of residence. It was a relatively small house. It had a living room which merged into the kitchen and a long hallway with doors along it. The doors led to a bathroom, a guest room, your room, an empty room that was always locked and your father's room at the end of the hall. You told Akaashi to find Bokuto. He jumped a little too fat ahead of you and Akaashi. Akaashi reassured you that he would get Bokuto and be back to help yoh with your things.

You smile softly as he runs off to find the owl. You walk down the long hall to your room. Opening the wooden door, you're met with the scent of dirty socks. You almost gag from the smell and your eyes water. You find a pile of clothes on your bed and a note with it.

'These should be clean by the time I get back. Signed, Dad'.

The dirtbag even write 'signed' on the note. You roll your eyes and push the clothes into the floor. They weren't your clothes so, why would you need to wash them? Sighing, you walk to your closet to grab some shirts and a hoodie. You grab a few pairs of shorts, pants and underwear to pack. Pajamas and a blanket were essential too. You looked around before opening the drawer in your bedside table. You took out a small white owl stuffed animal. It was a snowy owl. You held it close to your chest and smiled. You weren't putting it in the bag.

After a while you made sure you had EVERYTHING you would need for the next week or two. You look at the pike of clothes next to your bed and furrow your brows.

"Do your own dang laundry, A-Hole."

You growled under your breath and slammed the door shut. You felt tears in welling up in your eyes. You sniffed and rubbed them vigorously to get the tears to go away. As you walked into the living room, you saw Bokuto and Akaashi both in shock.

"What..?"

They look at each other then back to you.

"It's nothing. Have...have you been crying, Y/N..?"

Akaashi asked and started towards you. You flinched and he pulled away as fast as he could.

"Y/N..come on..let's go.."

You nodded and followed Akaashi out the door. Bokuto followed behind you. He was close to you without being too close.

"S-sorry.."

You mumbled under your breath. You got a little startled when you heard a soft 'hm' from behind you. You slowed down a bit to see what it was. Bokuto started to walk beside you. He looked at you both worried and confused. You glanced at his large amber eyes for a quick second before looking forward again.

"Who's that?"

He pointed to the little owl you still held in your arms. You looked at it and sniffed.

"Oh..this...this is Snowy."

He smiled softly and reached to pat its head. You flinched, almost on instinct. He pulled his hand away and looked at you.

"Y/N?"

You looked at Bokuto. His eyes were a soft golden hue in the dim light of the street lamps. His eyes were wide with worry and the desire of protecting you. You sighed and looked at him. You hugged the owl tighter.

"You really want to know..?"

He nodded.

"Ask Akaashi."
