All was quiet in the Akaashi household. Everyone was peacefully sleeping. Keiji is his bedroom, his parents in their room, Y/N on the couch and Bokuto was respectfully on the floor right next to Y/N. You tossed and turned, groaning in your sleep. Someone was coming for you. Someone was going to hurt you. Someone wasn't going to protect you from your impending doom. Something was-!

"ACK!!"

Your eyes opened as fast as they could. What made that noise...or...who made that noise. You look around to see Bokuto, shaken up from when you fell on top of him. Before either of you could whisper something, your vision became blurry with tears.

"Y-Y/N..? Is everything ok..? You sorta...fell on me."

You could only hug him. Your body didn't allow you to move in any other way. Your hands turned to fists and cringed to Bokuto's t-shirt. He wrapped his arms around you. He held you close to his chest, rocking you a little bit. He didn't want to ask you what was wrong once he realized that you were crying. He instead, wrapped your legs around his waist.

You flinched slightly with each touch of his warm hands. You accepted it though. Only because you knew Bokuto. You just met him but you knew he was trustworthy. Akaashi had told you about his time with Bokuto. If Akaashi trusted him, he must be worth something.

"Hold on tight, I'm going to lay on the couch so you can be more comfortable."

You nodded slowly as your sobs soon became quiet whimpers.

He stood carefully and moved to the couch. His concern for you grew slightly as he held your shaking figure.

"I'm gonna lay back now..don't worry. I gotcha."

He sighed as he laid back, his head resting in the arm of the sofa. Bokuto rubbed circles in your back with his fingertips. He hummed softly.

"Do you want to tell me what happened..?"

He asked after a few minutes. You nodded. It was best for him to know. Especially considering how he saw you act at your own place. Almost pure hatred for the place. You situated your self so it would be easier to talk.

"I-it's a long story.."

"I don't mind..i have all the time in the world."

He gave you a soft, caring smile.

You took a deep breath and closed your eyes. You opened them a few seconds after, knowing you were ready for someone else to pity you.

"When...when I was little...my parents fought. A lot...they were okay for a while. Arguing about the little things like, where I would go to school and what we would make for dinner that night. Then...then it escalated...my father became violent. He...he.."

Bokuto held you closer and tighter.

"What'd he do..?"

"He...killed...m-my mother..."

Bokuto's eyes began to water. He sniffed, hoping not to cry. He wanted to stay strong for you. He couldn't let you seem him like this. Not now anyways. He gripped your shoulders, not releasing the hug.

You couldn't help but cry. His warm embrace, his soft eyes. They made you feel safe. He began to rub circles in your back. His fingertips gliding gently on the fabric of your shirt.

You two sat in comfortable silence with you letting out soft, quiet sobs every here and there. Until Bokuto broke it.

"Is...is that why you acted the way you did at your house..?"

You nodded slowly.

He let out a soft huff and held you. You where confused by his mannerisms but, you were too tired to deal with pushing him away. He raised his hand and began to stroke your hair softly. Losing the fight against asleep, you doze off in the confort of his arms.
