Chapter 10: Two of You?!

Bokuto only chuckled as you made your way up the hill. He sat down, smiling at the view. You were able to stumble a few times before sitting on the soft grass. You laid back, breathing heavily to catch your breath.

"Hey..Y/N..?"

You sit up. Bokuto's words had suddenly changed. It seemed more distant yet, about to hit you in the face with bad news.

You only nodded in response. You got a tiny bit nervous as he began to speak.

"Do...do you think we'll...we'll get to see each other someday..?"

His words were solemn, as though he was losing hope. He knew you two just met almost a day ago. He couldn't help but think. What if you didn't see his games? What if when he graduated you stopped talking to him? What if you decided to not talk to him after this?

So many thoughts, so little time. Bokuto sighed and turned his head towards you. He stumbled to find the words he was looking for when he met your eyes. Your soft beautiful eyes. They were like scenic pools from a nature documentary.

"Bokuto...? Bokuto..? Koutoru?"

He jumped slightly, his attention turning fully on you.

"Koutoru..?!"

You nodded, starting to smile a bit.

"That..is your name right?"

He jumped up and pulled you up woth him. He hugged you tightly and started spinning. The laugh escaping his mouth made everything seem to disappear. Almost as if you two were the only ones in the entire world.

"B-bokuto!! Put me..down!!"

He slowed down to a stop, smiling like a child.

"You..you said my name!"

You were slightly confused. You always call Akaashi by his...oh. Now you realize it. You called him by his first name. Bokuto was elated by that fact. He couldn't stop smiling.

"Y/N! Ha!"

He kept smiling and started to mumble nonsense. He would laugh and say your name here and there. You shook your head in amusement.

"Bokuto, what were you going to ask me?"

"Oh! If we could hang out more often! And if you would come to our practices and our gamed and..and!"

He was getting excited and started rambling on and on. You closed your eyes as his became distant mumbling. You two were interrupted by his phone ringing.

"Hello?"

He answered

" 'Kaashi! Hey! What's up?"

"Yeah, we're at the park!"

"Yeah, we can do that!"

"Alright, see ya there!"

You tilted your head slightly as Bokuto stood up. He reached his hand out to help you stand.

"Where are going?"

Bokuto kept your hand in his as he pulled you down the hill. He never answer you but smiled. He had an idea of what he wanted to do. He was going to do it at the top of the hill but, maybe this was better.

You started to walk up to a large fountain. Roses and daisies and tulips were surrounding the area. Your eyes lit up at the sight. It was almost like it was straight out of a movie. Bokuto brought you to the edge of the fountain.

"OK, ok. Sit on the edge."

He was smiling and started giggling as you sat down. You were somewhat nervous about what he was doing. You watched as Bokuto got down on one knee in front of you.

"Y/N. I know we've pretty much only known each other for about 24 or so hours but, I think that...i think that I like you..? I don't know BUT!! I think I like you and..and I don't know much about feelings so...w-would you like to go out with me?!"

He bowed his head in embarrassment. His face was flushed and burning red hot. He rested his head in his knee and sighed.

You could only stare at him. You like him ok but...were you willing to date him off the cuff like this?

It was sweet of him to confess but...why?

You thought for a moment. That wouldn't be so bad, right? To give the guy a chance?

You never really dated anyone. Not based on your past but, you never really liked anyone. Not even the hopeless kids who wanted to date for popularity. You would always say no.

This time..this time felt different. Your cheeks and ears started to burn. You felt as if you yourself were on fire.

You took his hand that was resting on his shoe. He looked up, his whole face turning the color of the bright red roses that surrounded you. He had a blank expression on his face but, his eyes were hopeful.

"Yes. I think I'll give you a chance."

He blinked in a confused manner.

"What."

You chuckled.

"Yes! I will go out with you!"

He gasped and stood up. He picked you up and hugged you tightly, swinging you around. He was laughing happily. You couldn't help but laugh as well.

He put you down and smiled. He wouldn't let you go from his arms until you both stopped laughing.

All of a sudden you two turned around to see Akaashi. He was dressed nicely. He was wearing a collared shirt and some black dress pants. He must of had a bouquet of flowers with him. Only because of the red and white roses on the ground next to him.

You watched as his expression turned from surprised to disappointment to regret.

Bokuto let go of you as his expression fell. You ran over to the entrance where Akaashi was standing.

"Keiji...what...what's this for..? Is everything alright..?"

Akaashi didn't speak. He just look at you and sighed. He placed his cold hand on your cheek and rubbed his thumb gently under your eye.

"It's nothing. Don't worry about it. How about we go eat..?"

You nodded and called for Bokuto. He skipped right on over, completely forgetting about Akaashi.

"Bokuto-san, go by my house and pick up your things. Mom has already packed them for you."

Bokuto tilted his head.

"Aren't i going with you?"

"Not this time. Y/N and I have somethings to discuss."
