Is it worth it?

The beginning

        Alex POV

                I woke up to Drown by Bring Me The Horizon playing through my phone, it's Monday morning and I have to go back to school. Yay another day in hell. I get up, turn my music off, and head to the bathroom to take a shower. After my shower I put on my usual outfit a band Tee and skinny jeans, today it's My Chemical Romance and red skinny jeans. After I get dressed I go back into my room to dry and straighten my curly scene hair. 

        When I finish getting ready I hear my brother waking up to get in the shower so I head downstairs. I hate going down here because my mom and step-dad love to judge me and bully me. But I don't have a choice so I go downstairs and I'm greeted by my parents looking me up and down. 

My mom says, " Are you ever going to dress normally? Come on you look like you hate your life."

        I don't understand why people have to be so judgemental, it's not like my clothes affect their lives they don't even care to get to know me.

" Mom, the way I dress is normal to me and I like it so stop judging me and support me for once, I am your daughter after all." I reply. 

        That was a mistake.

My step-dad yells, " Do not talk to your mother like that, you will respect her! Listen to her and make yourself look more presentable, you don't look pretty in those clothes."

        I stood up after he said that, grabbed my phone, headphones, skateboard, and my Jack Skellington bookbag. I walked out the door without another word.

I'm so sorry it's short I wanted to post this story so I would start it but it's a school night and I have some stuff to do so I'm finishing the chapter here. I promise the chapters will get longer and better after the introductions, thank you for reading -Melissa
