One week.

One week was all it took for us to bond like we’ve known each other forever. I’ve come to adore these guys more than I thought I would.

They welcomed me with open arms and nothing was ever awkward with them just because they never let anything get awkward. The famous or celebrity status hasn’t gotten to their heads; they interacted with each other and other people as if they were normal people.

They were entertaining most of the time so traveling with them was always interesting. I didn’t let all this get in the way of my work of course. I made sure I was presentable and professional once we stepped out of closed doors and onto work proximities.

I stacked the few papers that were scattered around the piano top and went over a few lyrics, knowing the boys would be here in a matter of minutes. Working with them was always great. I had no idea they were able to come up with their own lyrics so easily. Most of them could express themselves very easily.

I got up from the bench when I heard voices on the other side of the door, guessing their arrival. The door creaked open, revealing five boys; half were hyper and looked woken up while the rest looked like they might have needed a few extra hours of sleep.

They shouldn’t be complaining though, I had gotten here two hours before them; sorting out papers and scheduling and rescheduling their meetings, interviews, etcetera.

“Just the girl we were looking for!” Louis exclaimed, being the first one to emerge into the room, his smile radiating the place already.

“It’s too early for all that cheerfulness, Louis.” I smiled, throwing my arms around his neck and proceeding with hugging the rest of the boys.

Everyone seemed to be in happy spirits expect for Harry and Zayn. I didn’t want to approach them; afraid they would push me away because of their bad moods. However, when I went to hug Harry, he wrapped his arms around my waist and held me close to him, as if I was the extra hours of sleep he desperately needed.

Zayn was another story though. I didn’t help him much and his bad mood remained. His eyes were sleepily glancing around the room, his body threatening to fall over.

“Nothing major today, guys. We’re just going over a few songs to make sure you’re prepared for your tour next month.” I said, walking behind the piano and taking a seat on the bench.

Harry, Louis and Zayn went to sit down in the chairs that were positioned in front of the piano while Liam and Niall came to stand beside me, their eyes already scanning the papers that were lying on top of the piano.

“The songs that you will mostly be singing are ‘WMYB’, ‘One Thing’, ‘More Than This’ and ‘Tell Me A Lie’.” I pulled out each paper and handed them to either Liam or Niall. “Be ready for surprises though, fans could always request songs on the spot.” I warned them.

“Can I take over?” Liam nodded his head towards my spot on the bench.

“No. I can’t sing so if you play the piano then I will be completely useless.” Niall chuckled beside me while Liam just looked at me.

“That’s not true. We enjoy your company.” Harry smiled.

“Thank you, Harry but my company isn’t gonna be singing live in a month so chop-chop.” I clapped my hands and sat properly and ready to play the piano for them.

Completely ignoring my request, Liam pushed his butt on me, causing me to scoot over, and sat down beside me.

“Let’s go with ‘WMYB’.” Liam signaled for everyone to be ready as he started the first note of the song. I stood back and watched them go to work without me interfering. This past week, we’d mostly been going to interviews and radio stations and I hadn’t really gotten the chance to see them in action.
