Long distance is not easy...
It requires strength, discipline, and most importantly a strong heart. According to many others, they would rather break up than live a life without their partner by their side. It's unfortunate, really, to see so many potential lovers go to waste. What many of these people don't realize is distance is not the enemy but the infinite amount of time waiting until they return.
That's what Yeji liked to believe. Waiting was the hardest part. She didn't like waiting, hell, nobodies does. Yet she would wait a lifetime for the one she loved the most. Living life without your love by your side was more than what the word difficult can explain.
A few years ago, Yeji's life changed for the better. One day when she went out with Yuna, their little loosely planned mission to find Yuna a keeper went in the opposite direction. Yeji found someone whereas poor Yuna couldn't find anyone.
It all started with a loud explosion in the lab room. Yeji decided to check it out while taking a break from her mission.
She opened the door steadily. "Is everything okay in here?" Yeji asked to the open air.
"Y-yeah everything is a-okay!" A person in a lab coat responded.
Yeji observed only person in the room. Her jaw would have dropped if she wasn't ready to catch herself. She couldn't believe it, do all scientist look like this? Are they all stupidly cute? Did they activate the genes in their body to look this good?
Yeji refocused, looked around the room and there was dust and chairs flipped over all around the room. Yeji wondered what was going on. Is this some sort of magic?
"I'll clean it all up no worries! I was experimenting with chemical reactions. Hehe." There was an innocent look on her face. It was cute.
Yeji was sad to hear it wasn't magic. She was ready for the world to put her on her fantastical journey to another world. Yeji approached Lia with her hand open. "I'm Yeji."
"Lia." She reciprocated her hand. "Nice to meet you." Lia smiled which Yeji stared at for an unusual amount of time.
"So what happened?"
Lia tried to explain all the intricate details of her experiment but it all went through one ear and out the other. Yeji couldn't comprehend what she said one bit. Yet she didn't mind, Lia seemed very into it as she was doing hand motions along with her explanations.
"So chemistry and explosions? What are you trying to make a love bomb?" Yeji sarcastically suggested.
Lia looked tense. "N-no."
"Oh my goodness, you were trying to make a legit love bomb." Yeji's jaw dropped.
Lia laughed it off. "No, I'm just playing, I was just testing out some chemical reactions nothing too big... but why did it work? Do you love me? Do I look drop dead gorgeous?"
