The Other Gilmore Girl (book two)

Part 9

The dance marathon was coming up and like every year me and Noah decide not to do it. I mean we love my mom and really want her to win, but as soon me and Noah get on the dance floor we have our game faces on. Couldn't throw it even if we wanted to. Me and Noah had just finished practice and Miss Patty calls us back in, "you guys are doing so well, you are going to kick butt at nationals. Now I was thinking with nationals coming closer and with all that summer practice we missed, that you should do the dance marathon to make up for it."

I shake my head, "we couldn't, I mean I don't want to show up my mom." Noah nods, "I don't want to either, I mean I would really love to keep in her good books." Miss Patty sighs, "if you don't I don't know if you guys will ever catch up on training with you going to school. This could really help." I give in, "fine, come on Noah we have costumes to buy."

When I got home I sat next to mom on the couch, "did you find a new partner." She nods, "I dragged your sister into it. So how was your day?" I shrug, "it was okay. Oh and Miss Patty made me and Noah enter the dance marathon." Mom gasps, "what? Wait hold on-- no I think it's fine. I mean this way if I win I win because I'm the best. Even if I don't at least a Gilmore will win." I smile and hug her, "thank you! Thank you! I'm gonna go to bed, but I love you mom." She kisses my head, "I love you too hun."

This dance marathon might be the thing to take my mind off what happened to dad. I didn't tell mom or Rory when they got home, I knew they would both try and fix it. Mom would smother me, and Rory would try and force me to make up with dad and say sorry. I personally think I did nothing wrong so I don't want to be told otherwise. In the morning I called Rachel and told her about the dance marathon and she said she would be there.

Right now me and Noah are looking for a good spot on the dance floor. It's only 30 minutes until the dancing begins. (Outfit above.) I lean on Noah's shoulder, "I'm too tired for this. Rachel and Cassie are luckily they can come whenever they want." Noah laughs, "let's get some coffee in you from Luke." I nod, "coffee. Me. Now." He shakes his head and when we get to Luke says, "The zombie over here needs coffee." Luke shakes his head, "when does she not." He pours me cup from a secret flask and then we leave after Luke saying not to tell anyone.

6 hours in and mom and Kirk were taunting each other, Andrew and his partner argued and left, and Deano arrived. I dance over to him when my mom and Rory leave, "hey, Deano. How are you doing?" He smiles, "I'm doing good. I see your doing this, Rory said you never did." Noah shrugs, "Miss Patty said we need to catch up on the summer practice we missed." I see Rachel and Cassie come in and then say, "gotta jet. See you later Deano." He nods, "yeah, I'll see you later." I try not to get too involved in my sister's love life but I feel bad for Dean. He deservers better, I know I shouldn't say that about my sister but she likes Jess for some unknown reason to me.

As we dance over to Rachel and Cassie I see Jess and his blonde bimbo Shane walk to the stands. I shake my head and turn back the girls, "I'm glad you both came. Hey do you mind keeping Dean company and distract him from well Rory and Jess." Cassie nods, "sure, I feel for the guy. He has been nothing but the perfect boyfriend to her." I nod, "I hate to say it, but I am taking Dean's side here." Rachel shrugs, "I've never met him, I can distract him by getting to know him." We talk for a bit more then they go to the stands.

14 hours in and it was a slow song. I was leaning on Noah, "I like the slowness of this song. I can just relax." He laughs, "relax away just don't sleep, Miss Patty is watching us." I nod, "you got it." Just then Taylor sets off the airhorn, I look up at Noah with wide eyes as we follow everyone, "the runaround." As we join the others Taylor explains, "round and round they go, but when the music stops, nobody knows. But the last couples who finish behind the red line are automatically out, so hold to your partners and move, move, move!" I look at Noah as we run, "he enjoys this too much." Noah nods and when we finally finish we fall on the floor.

Rachel and Cassie walk over laugh and Rachel says, "Tina, you were right. This is way better then sitting in my house watching TV." We get up off the floor and I try to hit her but my arms are like noodles, "I can't hit you, my arms can't reach." She laughs, "you can owe me one." I nod, "sounds good to me." Cassie hands us two cups, "I thought you could use the coffee." We talk the cups and I say, "God bless you." She laughs and Noah kisses her on the cheek, "my hero."

It was now hour 23 and Rachel and Cassie were both asleep on the benches, "Hey Noah, what was with the cheek kiss before." He yawns, "huh, oh that. Before this Cassie brought up the future and her living far away from me. I don't know, I guess I never thought that we would have to break up before collage. She on the other hand has, she keeps asking what happens if she goes to NYU instead of Yale. All I said is that we will work it out." I nod, "you guys will be fine. I mean look at the two of you, your so in love I feel so single." He laughs, "yeah, yeah."

There was only 6 couples left and I feel my legs giving way, "I don't know if I can hold on." He nods, "same I feel like I'm about to collapse." We dance over to a sleeping Taylor and a half awake Miss Patty slowing and I ask, "Miss Patty, can we stop now?" She yawns, "yeah, go home." Noah smiles, "thank the heavens." We wake up the girls and Cassie had to drive me home because Noah was too tired to drive him own car. I limp inside and fall on the couch and sleep.

After that I wake up and Rory tells me about everything I missed with Dean and Jess. I told her it was about time and that Dean had every right to explode, but maybe breaking up with her in front of the town was little bit unfair. I'm just happy Dean can now hopefully be happy now.

A/N: Hey guys I hope you liked this parts, and I know how I want Christina to make up with her dad but I want to know how long you think I should wait. Should it be before or after her half sister is born.
