Back in Asakusa as I walked through the bustling streets and towards Company 7. It was annoying to be here. Like what the hell did Benimaru need from me that he requested me to come here; he is considered to be the strongest fireman on the Fire Force.

"Glad you came," Benimaru said.

I stopped walking and glance behind me to see Benimaru standing right behind me. The material of his kimono grazed the back of mine along, he was basically centimeter's away from me.

"What do you want?" I questioned.

"I need your help training the brats from Company 8," Benimaru said.

"Then Akitaru would have called me to help or come to my home," I countered, "What do you really want, Benimaru?"

"An explanation," Benimaru said simply.

"I believe Konro told you everything," I replied, "And you know why I did what I did considering that you, in a way, pushed me to do it. So, I'll ask again, and for the last time, what do you want Benimaru Shinmon?"

"I don't like hearing my name said backward, Homura, Inori," Benimaru glared.

"And I don't like being called for no reason," I replied, "If you call my line again, it better be Konro telling me you're dead."

I walked forward through the town only to be held back by his hand around my wrist, holding me back.

"You hate me that much to wish death on me," Benimaru said as he looked down at his hand with a sad smile, "Maybe I should have let you join the Hikeshi brigade back when you asked... and I regret my decision of pushing you away from the battle that day, but I didn't want anything happening to you...because I knew that even though we had become a couple the day before ... I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you and I had planned to propose to you that night, but with the Asakusa fires...I wanted to propose to you the following day."

I pulled my arm out of his grasp and walked a bit away from him to create some distance between us.

"I guess that is inevitable," I answered.

"If anything it is a second chance," Benimaru mentioned.

What? This guy is a polygamist or something? Now there was one thing Asakusa and the empire saw eye to eye on was monogamous relationships so what the hell was he implying on that. I don't even want to know.

I walked forward to leave this town more eager than before-

"Spar with me," Benimaru mentioned.

"Why the hell was he so persistent on having me stay in Asakusa..." I thought to myself a bit annoyed.

"Not interested," I responded.

"If you win, I'll treat you to some Dango," Benimaru bargained.

"Don't you have a wife to go home to?" I questioned.

Did it really just come out my mouth like that?

"I would have if she stayed in Asakusa two years ago," He said.

I turned around and noticed him standing there while scratching the back of his head nonchalantly like what he just said didn't have meaning to it at all but considering this was Benimaru...this was about as romantic it would get but he needed to know that he and I don't work...we are like oil and water.

"Hn," I responded as I turned back around and began walking forward.

But soon stopped when I heard the sound of fire heaving in my direction, I quickly ducked and rolled out of the direction of the flame and had my blade out in defense to see Benimaru lower his flame.

"Get 'er Waka!" bubbly voices came.

I glanced to where those voices were coming from to see two young girls with black hair that is tied in a bubble at the back with large yellow eyes and dons a black with a blue stripe across the waist signifying their affiliation with the, and a flame pattern on the end of the sleeves.

I glanced towards Benimaru to see he was charging another attack my way only to have the attack cut in half and his flames thrown in both directions, setting homes ablaze.

"You really have become stronger," Benimaru complimented as he fired another series of attacks for me to dodge. Each attack failing to hit their target while I simply moved to avoid the blows.

To ordinary people outside of Asakusa, they would have considered this mad, crazy even. Why would the captain of company 7 attack another captain? But growing up with this man, I knew this was his way of venting and he was just angry and just letting off some steam. After all, I did lie to him.

But while he was firing away, I couldn't help but think how those girls could be his kids...They couldn't be his biological kids because if that was the case...they would be two years old. Maybe he adopted?

"Pay attention," Benimaru said as he fired another attack my way causing me to rotate my body out of his general direction and threw one of my swords at his head while rushing towards him at the same time.

"You going to try the same trick as long ago," Benimaru questioned as he threw his flames at the sword, "Your attack is completely predictable."

He lifted his arm, ready to deflect an attack from above only to turn around and choke on air when he felt my fist land in his gut, causing him to fly back and skid against the dirt road.

"Nuisance," I mumbled as I picked up my blade and looked at it to see it was cracked by his flame. I glared down at the crack and clenched the hilt of my sword until my knuckles were white in color. These blades...were the blades given to me by my parents and he severed it.

He rose from the ground as he quickly tightened his flame and fired it in my direction only for it to get slapped away with my hand as if I was slapping someone's cheek.

Yup, totally lost him there with that move.

"I should kill you for what you just did," I said while looking at the crack in my blade, "Everything that is you only brings about bad luck my way...why can't you see that. If you want me to be happy, you would just leave me alone and let us go our separate ways."
